00:00The video you see here shows the brand new Alpine A390
00:03An exciting study presented by our car magazine TuningBlock
00:09Even before the official start of the Paris Motor Show next Monday October 14th, Alpine is giving us a fascinating insight into its latest masterpiece
00:19But what exactly is this vehicle?
00:23Alpine, the sporty subsidiary of Renault, has already made a clear statement in the electric mobility market with the A290
00:31Now comes the A390, a sporty fastback that at first glance appears to be a study, but is more than just a design gimmick
00:44Countless images and even x-rays of the three-motor drive system were published in the run-up to the Motor Show
00:49The technology is just as impressive as the design
00:53Torque vectoring, i.e. the targeted distribution of torque, makes it possible to drive the outer wheel more strongly, thus steering the vehicle more smoothly through bends
01:03A technological highlight that the A390 offers
01:09But before we delve into the technical details, let's take a look at the design
01:13The A93 is based on the proven AMOR medium platform, which also underpins the Renault Scenic, the Megane Electric and the Nissan Path
01:22The fastback design looks sporty and dynamic, a far cry from the crossover shapes one might have expected
01:33The similarity to the Nissan Path is clearly recognizable, but the A3090 has its own character, emphasized by striking lines and a coupe-like silhouette
01:42The gigantic glass roof, which lends the vehicle an airy lightness, is particularly exciting
01:49However, it remains questionable whether this glass roof will find its way into series production
01:54The black, filigree metal elements of the roof structure might not meet the strict safety requirements in practice
02:04But that is nothing unusual for concept vehicles
02:06Equally futuristic and unlikely to be seen in series production are the rear doors that open in opposite directions and the cockpit without a B-pillar
02:15What is realistic, however, are the wheels
02:18The front wheels measure an impressive 22 inches, while the rear wheels even grow to 23 inches
02:24The design of these rims is inspired by snowflakes and brings a touch of winter magic to the sporty exterior
02:31A sky-blue element shines in the center of the wheel, contrasting with the white and black tones of the interior
02:39Speaking of the interior, the driver can expect a black and white concept here that looks modern and clean
02:46The futuristic cockpit relies on holographic effects that project the most important driving data onto three glass panes behind the steering wheel
02:54A visual highlight that gives the driver a sense of science fiction
02:59Under the hood, or rather in the underbody, of the A390 are three electric motors that catapult the vehicle into the league of the most powerful electric cars
03:10The front electric motor is supported by two motors on the rear axle
03:15End, which not only ensures impressive acceleration values, but also precise cornering
03:21This technical refinement is primarily thanks to torque vectoring, which takes the sporty driving experience in the A390 to a new level
03:30With an output of over 300 kW, the Alpine A390 is likely to outshine competitors such as the VW ID.5, the Skoda NAC Coupe or the BMW i2
03:42It is also interesting to note that Alpine will probably rely on a two-motor all-wheel drive for this model
03:49The 87 kW battery, which is also used in the Renault Scenic and Nissan Aria, is also likely to find its way into the A390 and ensure a decent range
04:00But it is not just the technology that impresses
04:04The design of the A390 brings a breath of fresh air to the world of electric cars
04:08The illuminated triangles, which are reminiscent of comets and are affectionately called cosmic dust by Alpine, give the vehicle a futuristic aura
04:17The A390 is built in the traditional Alpine factory in Depp
04:23The engines come from Clion, while the batteries are manufactured in Dway
04:28This production facility in northern France underlines Alpine's ambition to take the lead in electromobility as well
04:36Alpine has big plans for the future
04:39Following the A290 and A390, another model is set to follow
04:43The electric successor to the legendary A110, which will be the A3Hunter 10, the spearhead of the brand
04:51Alpine aims to launch a total of seven different models by 2030
04:57And with the A93, they have already created a vehicle that shows us the future of mobility
05:02Now, with the A780, another model is designed by the A290才 promote a collaboratively
