00:00Welcome to a new video from the Car Magazine Tuning Block.
00:06Today we will introduce you to the impressive GMC ZR Denali IV,
00:11an electric pickup with an incredible 764 horsepower that is revolutionizing the world of electric vehicles.
00:19The Sereni IV is not just another electric pickup, it is a masterpiece of engineering and offers some unique features.
00:25Although it was unveiled at the end of 2022, mass production is unfortunately still delayed.
00:34But patience pays off, because this vehicle is closely related to the Chevrolet Silverado
00:39and shares the innovative Ultium platform with GMC's luxury models.
00:46Thanks to this platform, the Sereni IV has impressive technical highlights.
00:50The steering rear axle ensures amazing maneuverability and even enables the so-called Krabby W.
00:57In this mode, the rear wheels move in the same direction as the front wheels, which allows the vehicle to move sideways.
01:03A huge advantage in tight spaces.
01:10The air suspension is another highlight and offers both an aerodynamic lowering at higher speeds and a lifting for demanding terrain.
01:17Although the exact battery capacity has not yet been officially announced, it is estimated to be around 200 kWh.
01:27The range was originally stated as 640 km.
01:31Currently, up to 708 km as promised.
01:34With its 800-volt system and an impressive charging capacity of up to 350 kW at fast charging stations,
01:43the Sereni IV can charge enough energy for 160 km in just 10 minutes.
01:49The integrated charger for alternating current also offers an output of up to 19.2 kW.
01:57A special feature is its ability to serve as a mobile power source.
02:00With an output of up to 10.2 kW, the pickup can supply both machines and entire households with energy.
02:09Theoretically, a household could be powered by the vehicle battery for up to 21 days.
02:15In terms of performance, the Zerudinale IV sets new standards.
02:19In the special max power mode, up to 562 kW or 764 hp are available.
02:27Accompanied by an impressive torque of 10,640 N.
02:31This allows the pickup to sprint from 0 to 60 km per hour in just 4.5 seconds.
02:37The towing capacity of 4.5 tons is impressive, especially for an electric vehicle.
02:43The payload, on the other hand, is rather modest at 660 kg.
02:50Inside, you can expect a luxurious ambience with fine materials such as wood and leather as well as a gigantic 16.8-inch portrait format touchscreen.
02:58The additional storage space under the front hood, the so-called frunk, is particularly practical.
03:07The rear wall of the double cab can be folded down and, together with the rear seats folded down, creates a loading area of over 3 meters in length.
03:15The multi-pro mid-gate also offers flexible options for using the tailgate, whether as a load space limiter, step or easier access.
03:27And let's not forget the standard SuperCruise autonomous driving system, which enables automated driving on selected routes in the USA and Canada.
03:35Ideal for long cross-country journeys.
03:37The first special edition of the GMC Zara Denali EV Edition 1 sold out immediately after its presentation.
03:47Deliveries began in the summer of 2024 and the price is now $99,495, or around €91,600.
03:58Unfortunately, there is currently no information about the launch of cheaper variants.
04:02Production at GM's Orion Township plant in Michigan has been postponed again and is now not scheduled to begin until mid-2026.
04:13Until then, the Edition 1 models will be produced at Factory Zero in Detroit, along with the Chevrolet Silverado and the electric sedans.
