00:30The Honda CB1000 Hornet with a whopping 152 horsepower, the S, which is released at 11,000 revolutions per minute.
00:39Its powerful 9,999cc four-cylinder is based on the engine of the legendary CBR1000R Fireblade from 2017, but has been optimized for the Hornet.
00:50With a torque of 104 Nm at 9,000 revolutions per minute, it offers plenty of thrust not only on the straights, but also in the corners.
01:02Its new steel frame and the shower suspension ensure a sporty but comfortable ride.
01:07The rear wheel is guided by an aluminum ProLink swingarm, which, together with the shower shock absorber and 138mm of suspension travel, ensures stable road holding.
01:21Up front, a non-adjustable USD fork from Showa underlines the sporty character of the machine.
01:27Impressive stopping power is supported by Nissan brake calipers with four pistons at the front and two at the rear, which act on three disc brakes.
01:37With a weight of 211kg and a top speed of 230kmph, the Honda CB1000 Hornet is a machine that perfectly combines power and agility.
01:47For those who want even more power, Honda has launched the CB1000 Hornet SP.
01:56This version delivers an impressive 157hp and 107Nm of torque.
02:03Among other things, a new exhaust system with valve control, which releases additional power from 5700rpm.
02:10Particularly exciting is that the Hornet SP comes standard with a fully adjustable oil in the shock absorber and a shower fork, which is also fully adjustable.
02:23These chassis upgrades make it the ideal choice for experienced riders who want to get the most out of their bike.
02:30At just 1kg more than the basic version, i.e. 212kg, the Hornet SP still remains an astonishingly agile powerhouse.
02:38Honda hasn't skimped on technology either.
02:43Both models feature a modern ride-by-wire system, three riding modes and adjustable traction control.
02:51The 5-inch TFT display offers excellent visibility even in direct sunlight and allows easy control of the functions.
02:58For 2024 and 2025, features such as Honda RoadSync with fall navigation and voice control have also been integrated,
03:06so that you always reach your destination safely.
03:09The only downside is that neither the Hornet nor the SP version are equipped with lean angle-dependent assistance systems.
03:17In terms of looks, the Honda CB1000 Hornet comes in three colors.
03:22Grand Prix Red, Matte Iridium Grey Metallic and Pearl Glare White.
03:27The Hornet SP, on the other hand, is only available in matte ballistic black metallic with striking desert gold metallic rims.
03:34Exact prices have not yet been confirmed, but experts estimate that they will be around €14,000.
03:44Honda may have taken its time to introduce these two machines, but the wait was definitely worth it.
