00:00Hi everyone, and welcome back to Victor Explains.
00:12In today's video, I'll show you how to fix the ESU enrollment coming soonerer,
00:17the one that says enrollment for Windows 10 extended security updates is temporarily
00:22unavailable in your region. Let's get started. Before doing anything, it's always important
00:28to stay safe. Go ahead and create a system restore point, so if something goes wrong,
00:34you can easily undo any changes. I will leave this text file in the description
00:39for easily copy-paste the commands. Go to your search bar, type PowerShell,
00:46and select Run as administrator.
00:56Once PowerShell opens, copy and paste the first command from the video description.
01:07This will change your system region to the United States. After that, run the second command.
01:14This one disables something called the User Choice Protection Driver, or UCPD for short.
01:24When the process is complete, restart your PC to make sure everything applies properly.
01:31After the reboot, open PowerShell again as administrator,
01:41and run the next command to change the region directly from the Windows registry.
01:53Once that finishes, restart your PC one more time.
02:06Now your region is fully set to the United States.
02:08Go to Start, Settings, Update and Security, and try registering for ESU again.
02:17This time, the temporarily unavailable in your region message should disappear,
02:22and you'll be able to complete the enrollment normally. Also, I'll leave a link to my previous
02:27video in the first pinned comment if you'd like to follow a more detailed, step-by-step guide.
02:32Once you've completed the ESU registration, you can change your region back to your original country.
02:39Visit the website mentioned in the description to find the region code for your country,
02:42and then replace the U.S. code in those same commands with your own.
02:55Then replace the U.S. code in those same commands with your own.
03:03Open PowerShell as administrator again.
03:23Run both commands one by one.
03:33And finally, use the reboot command to apply all the changes.
03:54And that's it!
03:56You've now fixed the ESU enrollment error and successfully registered for Windows 10 extended security updates,
04:02even if it wasn't available in your region.
