00:10We wanted to step a little bit further into our future.

00:15You know, by default, our cars are very graphical.
00:20Creating something that contrasts the graphical element that the car has a bold statement,
00:24you know, especially when you see all the cars together.
00:28The PSAR2 has a different personality than the rest of them.
00:32Post-R2 is actually almost a rally car that you know when you put them in the setup it
00:36is completely different than the 3.
00:40You know the tree once is lifted and it has all the items on top of the roof rack then
00:44it creates a very bold statement especially with the stands that it has.
00:50The 4 just looks like, you know, this fast machine, you know, and so all of these 3 cars
00:55have a very different sort of character.
00:57What also makes them come together is the color and the setup that we have at the moment
01:05with graphics.
01:08Seeing them actually perform in that type of environment, I mean, I think they're going
01:12to look great.
01:16We come from nation racing and PSAR is all about performance.
01:20Our cars are great to drive.
01:21We are paying homage to that racing tradition.
01:28I would say there was an idea of maybe using gold on the car as well, but we felt that the
01:32yellow version of gold fits more into this context in the snow.
01:35Everybody is really excited to be able to design for such an event.
01:42Showcase performance cars, great modern event, ice race, imp to being around TR bright colors,
01:47graphics, typical, really looking forward to it.
01:50You know, you look at these cars and renderings and PowerPoint slides for weeks and then try to iterate how they should be in the end, and then you spend a few weeks in the workshop when they start to come together.
02:07But then you see them on the ice and then you see them performing, you drive them, they're on their studded tires, you get a sense of how the chassis performs here.
02:27These cars are incredible, it's a dream for an engineer.
02:32We start with Arctic Circle, lift the POSTA 2 and now I've done the same thing with POSTA 3 and 4.
02:41We have raised the suspension used racing but we tweak it direction of 3 and crossover direction for POSTA 4.
02:46Together with we create special tires which perform very well on snow and ice.
02:57We have tuned spring and war bushing wheel engines because if you have control in a car you are fast.

03:23Polestar has developed a new collection of unique Arctic Circle vehicles that express the Swedish brand's performance DNA even more clearly.
03:33The Polestar 2 Arctic Circle was already introduced in 2022.
03:38Now, specially adapted versions of the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 are joining them to present a complete range of rally instruments.
03:44These vehicles will make their public debut on February 1st, 2025 at the Fat Ice Race in Zellensee, Austria.
03:53According to Michael Elcheler, CEO of POSTA, the Arctic Circle collection embodies a unique blend of motorsport heritage and Scandinavian design.
04:03The vehicles are tested and optimized in extreme conditions north of the Arctic Circle in Sweden.
04:12At the Fat Ice Race, POSTA aims to demonstrate that there's hardly anything better than a poster car on ice.
04:18The event is all about automotive passion and the experience of performance.
04:22Polestar's performance DNA has its roots in motorsport and has been significantly developed by Joy Kim Ritholm, Polestar's head of driving dynamics.
04:36The Arctic Circle models were perfected in the harsh environment of the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden.
04:43Joy Kim Ritholm brings more than 30 years of motorsport experience to the table and has already achieved several podium finishes in Swedish releases.
04:53Working together with posters design and brand teams, he has applied motorsport technology to the entire model range, giving each vehicle its own unique characteristics.
05:06According to Redholm, the development process for these vehicles was a particular challenge.
05:12Having successfully applied the rally formula to the POS II Arctic Circle, the focus was now on transferring this concept to the two new SUV models.
05:23To achieve this, POSTA worked closely with leading technology partners to implement bespoke technical solutions.
05:31The aim was to emphasize the performance DNA of the vehicles while ensuring maximum driving pleasure.
05:39The Arctic Circle models are manufactured in a Swedish research and development facility by Polestar.
05:46The most important technical modifications include increased ground clearance, individually adjustable Ohlins three-way shock absorbers and special Pirelli studded tires.
05:56In addition, the vehicles are equipped with new Oz Racing rims, which are celebrating their world premiere under the name Rally Legend.
06:04Steady quad-evo headlights ensure optimum visibility.
06:09The interior features Recaro bucket seats, which underline the sporty character of the models.
06:16The vehicles are also equipped with various accessories, including skis, roof racks, storage solutions and recovery equipment.
