00:55Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog where we take a closer look at the Jeep Wrangler 4-Way Wiles 41.
01:03This special model celebrates the legendary 1941 Willis MB, the iconic army vehicle that rose to fame during World War II.
01:15Jeep has created homage to the Wrangler's roots using the plug-in hybrid model.
01:19The Wrangler has had a difficult year, with sales down 11% in the third quarter alone.
01:29The situation is so tense that Jeep had to temporarily halt production to clear excess inventory.
01:37A production shift in Toledo, Ohio, was even canceled, and approximately 1,100 workers were laid off indefinitely.
01:45But with the retro special edition Wiles 41, Jeep hopes to breathe new life into sales.
01:52Visually, the Wiles 41 incorporates numerous design cues from the original Willis MB.
01:58The military olive drab paint job and blue decals, reminiscent of the army vehicles of the time, give the off-road vehicle a distinctive retro flair.
02:07The 17-inch wheels are painted in the same color and fitted with 33-inch off-road tires.
02:16Even a body-colored hardtop or a unique folding brown fabric top are available.
02:23Steel bumpers and a robust tailgate are also part of the standard equipment.
02:27The retro look continues inside.
02:31Light brown cloth seats, a 41-gear knob, and olive green fabric details on the dashboard create a harmonious overall look.
02:40Technically, the Wrangler 4 remains a plug-in hybrid with the EVLY 41,
02:46offering the proven combination of off-road capability and electric assistance.
02:50In the US, the Willys 41 starts at $61,825, which is approximately 58,500 euros, including shipping and handling.
03:02Interestingly, Jeep is currently offering a discount of $54,285, or roughly 51,900 euros.
03:10Additional options include a safety package for $1,095, a technology package for $1,895, and a convenience package for $1,995.
03:25Mop accessories such as running boards and a snorkel are also available.
03:29It's just a shame that this special edition won't be making its way to Germany.
