00:00From downtown Toronto for the first time in 32 years the World Series comes to
00:06Canada it's one team that everybody saw coming the defending champion Los Angeles
00:11Dodgers and one that nobody outside of Canada saw coming to Toronto Blue Jays
00:16it's the powerful Dodgers and Mookie Betts and Max Muncy and this loaded
00:21lineup they have four aces against a team that's gonna roll out a 22 year old
00:26rookie game one starter and an injured shortstop playing second base people
00:30are describing this as David versus Goliath curious if you see your team as
00:34the Goliath or David I mean hey they're from the East and that's the AL East I
00:40think the one thing we cannot do is look over there and say that is Goliath that
00:45is a beatable baseball team that has its flaws and that has its really really
00:49good strengths the great thing about baseball is anything can happen this is
00:52say it's gonna be a great series these guys are on a high right now we're
00:57expecting a battle I'll put this group of 26 up against anybody and they're
01:02looking forward to taking on what is on paper the best team in baseball that is
01:07playing really well right now and I don't think they'd have it any other way how
01:10about this for game one of the World Series it is Trey is savage who started
01:14this season in a ball he didn't even get to the big leagues until about a month
01:17ago at 22 years old he's the second youngest pitcher to start game one of the
01:22the World Series go get him kid yeah go get him with that fastball and that
01:26splitter well tiny one of the clinching game of the championship series hitting
01:31just 158 for the postseason and what changed Dave Roberts said he got sick of
01:36hearing everybody say he couldn't hit anymore he got him yes savage punches out
01:40Ohtani welcome to the World Series he got him on a splitter one down there's not
01:45many people in Major League Baseball that can make Ohtani look like that an awkward

07:56soon he wants to get that bullpen
07:58going and so now Will Smith who

08:37it's been an edge for the Blue

10:25has been very tough on left-handed
10:27hitters Dalton Varshow doesn't care
10:29about that stat he gets the fastball
10:32and he rips that thing out to
10:35center field what a swing from him we
10:37have ourselves a ball game and
10:38that's why Trey you Savage getting
10:40through those tough innings is so
10:42important he was able to give this
10:45offense a chance and here we are 2-2
10:47in the bottom of the fourth inning
10:48it's Bichette Kirk and Varshow for
10:50the Blue Jays here in the sixth
10:51inning to do the same thing they did
10:53in game seven of the championship
10:55series come back and win a lead off
10:57walk for Bichette and here comes

13:21selfish player doing everything for his
13:23team he is okay taking the walk taking
13:27the RBI and getting to first base and
13:30allowing Andres Jimenez to come up to
13:32the plate with the bases loaded and
13:33still nobody out in this inning
13:35base hit to right field from Jimenez
13:38again 90 feet a piece 5-2 Blue Jays

13:45once again Andres Jimenez had a very
13:49nice approach there shortened the
13:51swing up he got a change up over the
13:53heart of the plate didn't try to do
13:55too much got the barrel to it and
13:57absolutely ripped that thing through

14:02important hit for him you have to keep
14:04adding on especially against this
14:07Dodgers lineup Addison Barger taking

14:12Barger is not going to get a chance
14:14to to face Sheehan Dave Roberts was
14:17waiting for the Blue Jays to
14:18announce the move now he will make
14:19a move of his job here's what

15:29and if you're unfamiliar with the
15:38Blue Jays just learning about them
15:40today just watch this sixth inning
15:43watch the bottom of the order set

15:47bench and deliver that's pesky two
15:49strike hitting and then watch power
15:51hit it's all rolling together it is
15:53the Blue Jays who put nine runs on
15:56the Dodgers staff that gave up four
15:58in the entire championship series
16:00they've batted around Guerrero in
16:03the shadow center field here comes
16:05Paez that's down and we saw a
16:08little bit of this against the
16:09Yankees their ability to explode
16:11and get the crooked number one
16:13swing got a crooked number this is
16:15what you wanted if you're Toronto
16:17and you're Toronto fan to at least
16:19show we're pretty good and we can

18:55home run ended it in ninety three
18:57it doesn't matter the game it's
18:59just I feel like we have built a
19:01belief we've built something here
19:03where we have the utmost belief in
19:06just that game period it doesn't
19:07matter if it's if it was in May
19:09August obviously it's great to see
19:12that happen in the World Series but
19:14at the end of the day it's still
19:16just a single game and it's just
19:17play our game I think we show we're
19:19not a not an easy opponent we're
19:22going to grind them down no if it
19:24ain't broke don't fix it you know I
19:25mean we're just going to keep you
19:26know being aggressive and you know
19:28swinging at strikes and getting our
19:29best swings off turn the page I mean
19:31it's one game and then we can do
19:34about it now it's all is over with
19:35so just have to focus on tomorrow
19:37today it wasn't a hard night both
19:40of the ball but I feel like like I
19:42say it's just one game and we got to
19:45clear this up and kind of bounce back
19:47for tomorrow seven game series you
19:50know it's it's baseball anything
19:53can really happen but it's kind of
19:55hard to go undefeated but you know
19:59you got to just flush it get ready
20:00for tomorrow and just be be ready
20:02and when the names call just go out
20:04and execute.
