00:00Enjoy it you know what I mean it's game seven of the World Series at your home
00:04stadium I mean what the hell else do you want? It's what you dream of as a kid I've
00:09played in quite a few game sevens in my backyard over the years so it's it's
00:15gonna be a lot of fun it's it's why I play the game it's it's everything I've
00:20dreamed of. I don't think there's one person in either locker room that didn't
00:26dream as a kid playing in game center the World Series and it's here in front of
00:30us so you know it's been a great World Series and the World Series now it's
00:34gonna get decided on who plays best during one of those games. One game to
00:39decide it all game seven of the World Series from Rogers Center in Toronto
00:45hits the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Toronto Blue Jays will Toronto and all
00:51of Canada end the night in frenzy or will the Dodgers cheers pierce through a
00:56silent Rogers Center by the end of the night. That's what we find out here in
01:01the final game of the twenty twenty five season. Max Scherzer his sixth World Series
01:06star his sixth winner take all game the most all time. Well the first inning to
01:11state the obvious is like the ninth inning to Max Scherzer. This is not ten years ago
01:15where he's going to go seven eight innings. He's going to give whatever John
01:19Snyder deems him long enough and that is as long as he doesn't give him a reason to
01:23take him out early he'll be in there as long as possible. Scherzer has got to keep
01:27the ball in the ballpark tonight. He's given up a home run in his last five
01:30starts including one to this guy is to watch his golf the right center field
01:35partial is on the move won't get there on a base hit for Otani to lead off. So the
01:39starting pitcher for the Dodgers starts the game with a single talking about the
01:43Dodgers needing to get out of the gates quick against Max Scherzer and get the
01:48bats rolling because by and large they've been ice cold. Smith doesn't have many
01:52hits in his first season but he's made the most of the ones that he's got in the
01:56game winning home run in game two of the World Series and the go ahead double
02:00yesterday. Hit on the ground and a diving stop at first flat he turns flips to
02:05Scherzer for the out. Backhanded diving play on the ground by Guerrero. Otani up to
02:11second huge play by Vlad could have been first and third no outs instead a runner
02:16in scoring position and one out in this top of the first as this offense tries to
02:20get going you've got Freddie Freeman last year's World Series MVP who had the
02:24walk-off in game three but outside of that it's been a quiet postseason drives
02:28one in the air to center field Varsho is on the run he's got it spotted at the edge of the track
02:33two out. Otani tags advances for third Varsho throws in.
02:38And so now the Dodgers have a runner on third but there are two outs in this first inning.
02:42Here is Mookie Betts. Game winning hit yesterday. Way to the world lifted off his shoulders.
02:48A 1-0 from Scherzer. Bounces one towards the middle.
02:51Jimenez is there and Max Scherzer throws a scoreless first. Works around the leadoff single from Otani leaving him on third.
02:58And Shohei Otani as we saw when he started in game four this series John he really takes his time catching his breath after his at bats he just now gets out there to warm up.
03:08He will get the start in this game seven the three time MVP starts on three days rest for the second time in his career and when the Blue Jays saw him last the 6-3 right hander gave up four runs on six hits in six plus innings back in the lineup yesterday and leading off again for the Blue Jays today George
03:28George Springer steps into the righty box his 3-1 to Springer is a fastball scorched to left center field a leadoff hit for George Springer incredible biting pain on every swing finding a way and a leadoff hit in game seven ninety-nine but caught a lot of the middle of the plate and Springer starts the Blue Jays offensive day with a base hit kind of hitting here in the two spot as a 31 year old who at the start of this season said hey if I don't get a real shot this year I'm at peace calling it quick.
03:58He's gotten his chance and here he is hitting second game seven of the World Series Nathan Lucas another 2-2 swing and a miss strike three there's a textbook splitter from Ohtani to get the first down here comes Vladimir Guerrero Jr. who hit a two run homer off Shohei Ohtani on the 28th in game four of this series owns another home run off Ohtani as an angel back in 2022
04:28He's going to strike three late call Springer thought it was a walk and he will be thrown out going to second to end the inning hit awkward strike him out throw him out double play bails out Ohtani and on to the second we go.
04:40John Schneider's been out twice once to talk to home plate umpire Jordan Baker once to crew chief Mark Wagner we believe we don't know for sure we believe this may have something to do with the extra time that it appeared Ohtani was given to get ready between innings certainly before the first inning because he's a two-way player are they giving him extra time and should they be giving him extra time.
05:05Blue Jays worked him for 18 pitches in the first had a hit but Ohtani faced the minimum now faces Bichette really impressive what he's done even though he's still in a lot of pain still diminished and he's gotten a hit in five of his six games.
05:18Ohtani missing all over the place has issued the rock.
05:2299 yanked off the plate and Bo Bichette is on it to lead off this bottom of the second and here is Addison Barger bumped up to the five hole from the seven spot.
05:31The set stops at second and the Blue Jays are in business in the second each pitcher in the first inning gave up a lead off base runner and survived it.
05:46Now here's the moments I was talking about first and second nobody out for the contact guy at the plate.
05:51Looking to strike first in game seven pops it up foul ground right side.
05:58Freddie Freeman is there for the first down and last night that strength of theirs let him down.
06:05They went just one for nine with runners in scoring position.
06:08Still a big opportunity but shed on second barger on first one out partial just five to twenty six in this world series on a two two from Ohtani.
06:16Varsho it's a fly ball to right field for tasker Hernandez.
06:19Well the tough scenario here is it's going to take almost a double to score the shot you would think because of his his knee.
06:28It doesn't have the name brand star power that Vladimir Guerrero Junior has but Ernie Clement right on his heels racking up the hits in this postseason three ninety seven out of the eight spot.
06:39And there's a base at the base at the other way.
06:40And there's a base at the other way.
06:41Does Bichette have enough with that bad knee.
06:43They stop him at third and the bases are loaded.
06:47It's just station to station right now.
06:49The base is clogged by Bichette's lack of ability to run.
06:54They got that big two out hit but he can only do what he can do and now they're going to need another two out.
06:59Big hit and the guy at the plate has been pretty big with runners in scoring position.
07:04He's close to five hundred with runners in scoring position and the only guys in the Blue Jays that have driven him more runs than their nine hitter Jimenez.
07:12Vlad Junior and Alejandro Kirk heads up there with a chance to get the Jays on the board first.
07:18Ohtani to the plate with another one two.
07:20And he got him with a fastball.
07:22Ohtani gets out of the bases loaded jam and a couple chances over the first two innings for the Jays.
07:28Blue ninety nine right by Jimenez to leave the bases loaded for Toronto.
07:33In the second so far so good for Scherzer.
07:36He has retired seven in a row after giving up the lead off single to show him the first inning.
07:42He's the one to the second strikeout for Scherzer.
07:49He's retired eight straight.
07:51And here's Ohtani the lone man to reach against him.
07:54Yeah this is how you want to face him.
07:55And for Ohtani unfortunately he has come up to the plate with less men on than he would like.
08:01Corks this ball to left center field.
08:03Lucas is out of the water.
08:04And he reaches up and makes the catch.
08:07Nathan Lucas tracks it down on the warning track.
08:10And Max Scherzer's got a one two three third.
08:13Matt Max doing it again in the postseason.
08:16Doing it again and a winner takeoff.
08:18And again remember Ohtani was the last out in the top half of the inning.
08:23The clock is down to twenty seconds.
08:25And he's nowhere to be seen.
08:27And again John Schneider is saying what is going on here.
08:30Is this a rule or not.
08:31It's a unique situation.
08:33One of a kind guy.
08:34Shohei Ohtani is ahead of George Springer.
08:36Oh and two.
08:37Swing and a liner hooking down and left down for a base hit.
08:40One bouncer into the glove of Kike Hernandez.
08:43And the extra warm up hasn't paid off so far for Ohtani.
08:46Springer on first.
08:47Here's Nathan Lucas.
08:48No outs.
08:49Nathan Lucas screws around.
08:51Bucks it.
08:52Ohtani's there.
08:53Over the first.
08:54A low throw that Freeman digs out.
08:56Successful sacrifice Nathan Lucas.
08:58In the scoring position goes Springer.
09:00And up comes Vlad Jr.
09:02The pitch to Vlad Guerrero.
09:04In the dirt it gets away from Smith.
09:06And over to third base goes Springer on a wild pitch.
09:09Ohtani yanked a splitter.
09:11And now a runner on third with only one out.
09:13And they're actually going to walk him.
09:15Dave Roberts just stuck out the four fingers from that Dodgers dugout.
09:19First and third with one away.
09:20Bichette comes up.
09:21Pick a poison right here.
09:23Dave Roberts will choose Bo Bichette.
09:25And it might seem like an easy decision.
09:27But Bo Bichette is the best hitter in baseball this year
09:30with runners in scoring position.
09:31He hit 380.
09:32And even though he missed the last month of the regular season.
09:35Drove in ten more runs than anybody else on the team.
09:38His pitch to Bichette.
09:40Swing and a fly ball.
09:42Center field.
09:43Edmond back.
09:44Look it up.
09:45That ball's gone.
09:47A blast from Bo Bichette.
09:54And the Blue Jays start the scoring in game seven.
09:58A three run homer.
10:00It's three nothing.
10:01Bottom of the third.
10:05Bo Bichette was trying to lift something to the outfield.
10:10And boy did he lift something to the outfield.
10:13What a swing from Bo Bichette.
10:15Tommy Edmond the center fielder just turned and watched that thing fly out of here.
10:20Bo Bichette took about three or four slow steps to first base.
10:24What a moment for him.
10:25This place is absolutely rocking.
10:27Who needs to run full speed when you can jog around the bases.
10:33Bo Bichette's first home run in the postseason is a monumental three run back blast.
10:39Springer got their base in.
10:41Lucas sacrificed.
10:42They put bloody eye and Bo knows it's gone.
10:46Man he can enjoy that one.
10:48Four hundred and forty two feet.
10:52And not a shred of doubt that this one was long gone even though it was to the deepest part of the ballpark.
10:59And now Ohtani is out of this ballgame walking back to the Dodger dugout.
11:05Max Scherzer who's only thrown twenty eight pitches through three innings is back out there to face two three four in the Dodger order.
11:12Will Smith the catcher leads off the top of the four.
11:16First pitch to Smith and Smith launches a fly ball left field carrying back.
11:20It's in the gap.
11:21It is at the wall and it is dropped by Varsho made a leaping attempt at the wall.
11:28But it's in play in a leadoff double for Smith who's now firing up his dugout clapping his hands and barking toward the Dodgers.
11:36That just missed a home run.
11:38That wall on both sides and both gaps in the outfield mode is really high up there.
11:44Center cut four seamer at ninety five and Smith hit it deep but just not deep enough.
11:49Runner on second no outs.
11:51Freddie Freeman up Freeman hits it hard right field base hit.
11:54Smith was holding up because it was right at Bichette.
11:57So Smith will hold it third back to back.
12:00Well struck hits for the Dodgers to open up this fourth inning and that has the Blue Jays on the horn to the bullpen.
12:07Ty and Rod at the plate in the form of Mookie Betts.
12:10Flies one to shadow center field.
12:12Barger and Varsho coming out.
12:14Varsho and Barger with a catch.
12:16And Smith is still at third.
12:19That's unable to get the job done one away.
12:22It's a big out for Scherzer.
12:24And so it's Max Muncy to the plate.
12:26Three two pitch.
12:27Kirk couldn't quite squeeze it.
12:31Muncy stays alive just barely.
12:33Another three two.
12:35Scherzer takes inside ball four.
12:38Load him up for Teoscar.
12:39Hernandez is 0 for 1 in this game.
12:42He is hitless in the games here in Toronto and has looked completely lost.
12:47But Dodger fans know you never know when he's going to snap out of it.
12:51Give you a big swing.
12:52He homered against Scherzer in game three.
12:54Lines the ball to center field.
12:55Varsho lays out and he made the catch.
13:01Smith is in to score.
13:03It's three to one.
13:04But Dalton Varsho's goal glove in center field shows up again.
13:09What a play from Dalton Varsho out there in center field.
13:14If that ball gets by him, you can bet that everybody standing on base right now is scoring.
13:20That's a risky play.
13:21Blue Jays trying to win their first championship since 92-93.
13:25Those teams had a gold glover in center field as well.
13:28And Devon White is what you want.
13:30Defense got to be good up the middle.
13:32The Blue Jays are excellent.
13:34First and second two down for Tammy.
13:36Hit on a line.
13:38Diving grab.
13:39Vladimir Guerrero Jr. diving into foul territory to get Edmund and end the inning.
13:46He has used the World Series stage to show everybody that he's more than a slugger.
13:51Dodgers get a run but nothing more on two hits.
13:54They leave a pair rod.
13:56One out.
13:57Andres Jimenez is up.
13:58Left on left the pitch.
13:59Up and in with 95.
14:01Jimenez bouncing around as he turns out of the way.
14:04Ball one.
14:05The one-two.
14:06Inside.
14:07Did that hit him?
14:08Heard two sounds.
14:09And Jimenez points to the Blue Jays dugout.
14:11That's pretty close there.
14:12Almost looks like he sticks his hand out.
14:14Now a two-two count.
14:16Robleski's pitch.
14:17And that one hit him for sure.
14:1996.
14:20And Andres Jimenez having words with Robleski.
14:23Robleski charging him.
14:24And the benches are clearing.
14:27Dougouts on the field.
14:29Robleski held back by Muncie.
14:32And the bullpens are clearing out as well in Game 7 of the World Series.
14:36Dodgers have pitched inside throughout this series.
14:40Remember they hit George Springer.
14:42They hit Alejandro Kirk.
14:43And now they have hit Andres Jimenez.
14:46Jeff Hoffman is really getting on Robleski right now.
14:51And it's getting pretty heated out there at shortstop.
14:53Now Pete Walker's got him moving him away from the pile.
14:57I mean this is rarely the kind of thing you see in the playoffs.
15:01Much less Game 7 of a World Series.
15:04And Menez appears to be okay.
15:06He's at first.
15:07And now the umpires are trying to tell everybody get off the field.
15:12Well the last thing you want to do for Justin Robleski is give a free pass to the nine hitter.
15:18And he says I don't want to give a free pass to you buddy.
15:24And there are warnings now for both sides.
15:27And at the top of the order the Dodgers try to detire Springer for the first time tonight.
15:31Left hander set the 1-0.
15:33Swing and a liner off his shins.
15:35Rolls back to home plate.
15:37Springer aboard at first.
15:39Into second Andres Jimenez.
15:41Well placed we'll say from George Springer.
15:44Not that it hit him.
15:45But that he got the infield hit because it ricocheted right back.
15:48And it's first and second one out.
15:50All right.
15:51So here comes Lucas.
15:52Been an action inning.
15:53Been an action game.
15:54Trafficking just about every half inning of this ballgame.
15:57Lucas is down on strikes.
15:59Robleski sits him down with a breaking pitch.
16:02Dave Roberts is going to make a change.
16:05Justin Robleski feeds to a resounding chorus of boos in Toronto.
16:10And Tyler Glasnow finished last night's game is on the pitch.
16:13Only threw three pitches.
16:15So not too much stress.
16:17And he's trying to eat as many innings and keep this game right where it's at against a great hitter.
16:22Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
16:24Two onward two out.
16:25Vlad.
16:26Cracks one in the air to center field.
16:28But it hangs up for Tommy Edmond.
16:30And Glasnow gets Guerrero.
16:31Strands the two inherited base runners.
16:33And keeps the Dodgers within two.
16:35Max Scherzer.
16:37Exceeding expectations.
16:39Pitching into the fifth.
16:40Pitching into the fifth.
16:41Pitching into the fifth.
16:42And he knows if anybody gets on he will not face Ohtani.
16:45So don't let anybody get on.
16:47That's a shot to left field and a base hit for Rojas.
16:51First hit from Miguel Rojas since October 1st.
16:54And it makes Ohtani the time run here in the fifth.
16:57Here comes John Schneider hopping out of that Blue Jays dugout.
17:00And the crowd now in appreciation of Max Scherzer.
17:03Four and a third.
17:04He leaves with a 3-1 Blue Jays lead.
17:07Max Scherzer putting his hand up to the crowd to a raucous round of applause.
17:12Varlin gets set to appear in a major league record 15th postseason game in a single run.
17:19Ohtani is 11 at bats against Louis Varlin.
17:23Three hits including a home run and a double.
17:26He has struck out three times.
17:280-2 pitch.
17:29On the ground right side and through.
17:31His second hit of Game 7.
17:33Time run aboard for the Dodgers.
17:35And Will Smith coming up.
17:37Will Smith who doubled off the top of the wall his last time.
17:40The go-ahead run.
17:41Hits one in the air to center field.
17:42Routine for Varsho.
17:44Runners can't go anywhere.
17:46That's out number two in the fifth.
17:48And that's been the theme song unfortunately.
17:50Too many times the Dodgers offense in this series.
17:52Routine fly balls.
17:53And it'll be up to Freddie Freeman.
17:551-1.
17:56Hit high in the air center.
17:58Varsho started back.
17:59Stops.
18:00Wakes on it.
18:01Makes the grab.
18:02And Varlin strands a pair.
18:043-1 Blue Jays middle of the fifth.
18:06Riz Bassett on for the Blue Jays.
18:08Top of the sixth inning.
18:09The converted starter making another appearance in this World Series.
18:13It'll be his fifth outing in the seven game set.
18:17Bats leads off the six.
18:18And takes ball four from Bassett.
18:20The leadoff walk immediately gets the tying run to the plate.
18:23It seems like the game has been funneling to Max Muncy.
18:26But this has had no shortage of opportunities for each team with runners on.
18:31On the zone one.
18:32Rips a line drive.
18:33Base hit to right field.
18:34And the first two have reached for the Dodgers in the six.
18:37That is just the second hit Bassett has allowed this postseason.
18:41Hernandez has knocked in their lone run in this game with a sack fly.
18:44Two on.
18:45Nobody out.
18:46Top of the sixth.
18:47Here's a 2-2.
18:49Bouncing ball.
18:50Back to Bassett.
18:51Guns it to second one.
18:52That's all they'll get.
18:53It was a slow bouncer to the mound.
18:55They get the out of Muncy.
18:57And now Teo safe at first at third base is Bats.
19:00So it's first and third one out.
19:02Top of the sixth.
19:03Edmond has hit it hard both times today.
19:05Flied it to the wall and right.
19:07Lined into a great catch from Vlad Jr.
19:09His second time.
19:10Go ahead.
19:11Run at the plate in the sixth.
19:12Pass.
19:13It's 1-1.
19:14Edmond flies it to center field.
19:16Farshot sizes it up.
19:18Here comes Bats.
19:19Here comes the throw.
19:20It's way up the line.
19:21And it's a one run game.
19:23Sacrifice fly from Tommy Edmond.
19:25And it's 3-2 in the sixth.
19:27The Dodgers had to cash in this inning.
19:29First and second.
19:30Nobody out.
19:31Tyler Glass now.
19:32Who took over with two out in the fourth inning.
19:34And has not given up a run so far.
19:36Trying to give his offense time to get back into the game.
19:39On a 3-1 pitch.
19:40That's another base hit.
19:42Another multi-hit game.
19:44About 400 for the postseason.
19:47Ernie Clement.
19:481-9.
19:49Postseason hits.
19:50There goes Clement.
19:51First.
19:52He'll take it.
19:56Well you can steal even if you don't get that big a jump on glass now.
20:01That's one of the weaknesses in his delivery to home.
20:043-2.
20:05Jimenez.
20:06In the right center field.
20:07Hernandez.
20:08Will not get there.
20:09And it's 4-2 Blue Jays.
20:12Andres Jimenez out of the ninth spot one more time.
20:18Blue Jays 4.
20:19Dodgers 2.
20:20Bottom of the sixth.
20:22The nine hitter delivers again.
20:25What a team this is.
20:278-9.
20:28Come up with the hits to add a run for the Blue Jays.
20:31Such a huge run here after the Dodgers clawed back to get within one.
20:35Mr. Runner in scoring position.
20:38The reactions of everybody knowing they got a chance to even get another runner home with a man on second.
20:45Nobody out.
20:46Springer's been at his best for two strikes these last couple days.
20:49That this time a fastball is by him.
20:51And then as it's second one away for Lucas.
20:53Lucas flies it to left center field pushing Edmond back.
20:57In front of the warning track reaches up makes the catch him and is he going to tag from second and go to third.
21:02He slides in without a place to throw in from Edmond the best.
21:05Now you've got two outs man on third.
21:07And either Guerrero or both the shot.
21:09Pick your poison.
21:10Dave Roberts picked the wrong poison.
21:12Back in the third when he put Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
21:15Unintentionally.
21:16And the chef followed it.
21:17With his swing of the night his three run home run.
21:20Chopped to the left side.
21:21Muncie over his left in the glove sets and throws.
21:23They get Guerrero by a step and a half and they strain him in his butt.
21:26The number nine hitter did the damage with an RBI double for two Blue Jays.
21:31Who else.
21:32Raya Savage into the game in relief.
21:34His first relief appearance at the big league level.
21:37He'll get the top of the Dodger order.
21:39Firing three one.
21:40Ball four and a leadoff walk for Otani.
21:42Last four innings the Dodgers have had the leadoff man on.
21:45Tying run to the plate with Will Smith.
21:48His 1-1 pitch is lifted to center field for Dalton Varsho.
21:52And the first out of the seventh.
21:55Otani tags and retreats.
21:57I know this is going to sound crazy.
21:59But for that young man that's a big out.
22:01You don't count outs when you're starting.
22:04You're counting outs when you come in on a relief.
22:07So big out.
22:08Maybe that settles him down a little bit.
22:10These count outs.
22:11All of Canada's counting outs.
22:12They are eight of them away from their first world championship in 32 years.
22:172-1 pitch.
22:18Chopped toward first.
22:19Vladdy.
22:20Bluffs.
22:21Throws to second one.
22:22Throw back to first.
22:23Double play.
22:24Three.
22:25Six.
22:26Three.
22:27The Blue Jays lead four to two at the seventh inning stretch.
22:33Six outs away from the World Series.
22:36I'm a little bit surprised that you Savage is still in this ball game just because he didn't have great command of his stuff in that first inning.
22:45I'm sure the nerves have settled just a little bit.
22:48And he'll try to fill that strike zone up a little bit more than he did in that first inning.
22:53One away in the eighth.
22:54Max Muncy has been on twice in year seven.
22:56It's the 1-1 pitch.
22:57Muncy launches in the air.
22:59Deep right field.
23:00This ball is gone.
23:03Off the ribbon inside.
23:06The foul that here in Toronto we are within a run.
23:11The Dodgers down 4-3 on a long home run for Max Muncy.
23:18Trey Savage doesn't give up many home runs but he gets into trouble when he pushes this split finger.
23:24He pushed it there.
23:25He tried to feel for it and it just floated through the strike zone.
23:29Max Muncy obviously has a ton of pop and he hit that thing about 400 feet out to right field.
23:36That guarantees Ohtani to hit again.
23:39And it ties up the home run race in this ball game.
23:42But it's another night where the Blue Jays have hit the big home run.
23:45And the Dodgers have gotten a solo shot.
23:47The 9 in this far classic have been solo head runs.
23:50Back to a one run game in the eighth inning of game seven.
23:53The combination that helped the Blue Jays score their fourth run are the first two guys up here in the eighth.
23:59Clements and Jimenez.
24:01Ernie is two for three.
24:02A hit away from breaking the record for most hits in a single postseason run has already tied it.
24:08Clements the ball left center field.
24:10That's hit it over.
24:11Hernandez is down and up against the wall.
24:14Ernie Clement just will not stop.
24:17What a huge hit to begin the bottom of the eighth.
24:20His 30th hit of the postseason breaking a record.
24:25This guy is incredible.
24:27And his leadoff double sets up the Blue Jays to add.
24:31That's it for Emmett Sheehan.
24:33Dave Roberts is going to bring in another one of his starters here.
24:37Snell comes in and tries to keep it right here.
24:39Clement on second.
24:40No outs.
24:414-3 Blue Jays.
24:42Bottom of the eighth.
24:43Game seven of the World Series.
24:45Brows it back.
24:46Slashes one to Muncie.
24:48Wow.
24:49He had to see his light flash before his eyes there.
24:52Oh it's your worst nightmare when you're pulled in.
24:54I don't know how he caught it.
24:56Oh my.
24:57One away in the eighth.
24:58Back to the top of the Springer.
25:00Three for four in game seven.
25:020-2 pitch from Blake Snell.
25:04Springer.
25:05Strikes out swinging.
25:07Slider on the inside corner.
25:09Two gone in the eighth.
25:10Got a pinch hitter heads up there.
25:13The guy that started Snell's last start.
25:16With a home run on the first pitch.
25:18It's David Schneider.
25:19Snell comes set.
25:21Strikes him out.
25:22Got him swinging over the top of a curve ball.
25:25And Clement's leadoff double stranded by Blake Snell.
25:29The Dodgers have three outs to get at least one run.
25:33Quique Hernandez.
25:34Miguel Rojas.
25:35Shohei Ohtani.
25:36Coming up against Jeff Hoffman.
25:38On a one two pitch.
25:39Hernandez.
25:40Traces.
25:41What a big pitch from Jeff Hoffman.
25:44He just went right at Quique Hernandez with good off-speed stuff.
25:49Didn't mess around with the fastball.
25:51And he finds himself two outs away from ending this ballgame.
25:55Imperative to get Rojas.
25:57Ohtani is the on-deck hitter.
25:59And you want him up where the worst case scenario is he ties the game.
26:02Yeah.
26:03You don't want Ohtani being the go-ahead run.
26:05You have to get Miguel Rojas here.
26:07Hoffman knows this has got to be an action pitch.
26:09And what I mean by that you've got to make him put it in play.
26:12He's got to swing at this pitch meaning it has to be close enough.
26:15Because you do not want to walk him.
26:17You do not mind giving up a hit right here.
26:19But it cannot be a ball four.
26:22And then Ohtani comes to the plate.
26:24Playoff.
26:25Drilled to left field and deep.
26:28And gone.
26:30No way.
26:32Miguel Rojas.
26:34It's gone.
26:36And game seven is tied.
26:39Miguel Rojas off the bench in game six.
26:45On the board in game seven.
26:48This crowd.
26:49Well we talked about it in another series.
26:52This has turned into a library here.
26:54Miguel Rojas.
26:55He took the two two pitch the slider upstairs.
26:58And he took the next pitch.
27:00Out of the ballpark.
27:01And this Dodgers first base dugout has exploded.
27:05Dave Roberts played his gut.
27:07The guy hadn't had a hit in a month.
27:11And in the ninth inning of game seven he's had a tying home run.
27:17The most unlikely source has changed game seven.
27:23It's tied at four.
27:25Rojas has given the Dodgers life.
27:28Blue Jays have the right guys coming up though.
27:31Vlad Guerrero.
27:32Bo Bichette.
27:33Addison Barger against Blake Snow.
27:35Rojas tied it on the top of the ninth homer.
27:38But the Blue Jays now have to turn the page.
27:41And if they can knock one in they will be champions.
27:45High drive to center field.
27:47Back goes Tommy Edmond onto the track.
27:49He's got room.
27:50He just missed.
27:51One gone in the ninth.
27:53And Guerrero is retired.
27:56Here comes Bichette.
27:57Who hit a three run homer back in the third.
28:00Lefties 2-1.
28:02Bichette rips it.
28:03On a line to left.
28:04Down in front of Kike Hernandez.
28:06Bo Bichette on base.
28:08And we'll see if the Blue Jays want to run for him.
28:10Isaiah Kiner-Philippa out of the Blue Jays dugout.
28:14That is the game winning run on first.
28:17IKF takes over for Bo.
28:19Yeah they really have no choice.
28:20They don't care about how long this game could potentially go.
28:24They've got to put the fastest runner they can.
28:27Bo Bichette just wouldn't have a chance to score.
28:29It's Barger who's made an MVP case in this World Series.
28:333-2 pitch.
28:34Outside.
28:35Ball four.
28:36By a millimeter.
28:38Addison Barger gets the walk.
28:40Up to second goes IKF.
28:42The World Series winning run.
28:45He's in scoring position.
28:47Dave Roberts making his way out of the Dodger dugout.
28:50Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
28:5224 hours after starting and winning game six.
28:57Ready to do some heroic stuff.
28:59Coming on to face Kirk.
29:01Yoshinobu Yamamoto one night after throwing 96 pitches.
29:06In with one out in the bottom of the ninth.
29:09First and second for the Blue Jays.
29:114-4 score.
29:13Alejandro Kirk looking for a base hit.
29:16That could win the World Series.
29:18Inside and hit him.
29:20Kirk hit by the pitch.
29:22And the bases are loaded.
29:24And the World Series winning run.
29:2690 feet away from home.
29:28Infield in.
29:29Outfield in for the Dodgers.
29:314-4.
29:33Bases loaded.
29:34One out.
29:35Dalton Varshow set to hit.
29:37Andy Panas replaces Tommy Edmund.
29:40Getting the stronger arms out there.
29:42Room for error.
29:43Gone for Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
29:45Bases loaded.
29:46One away.
29:47Varshow.
29:48Roller to second.
29:49Rojas comes home.
29:50In time.
29:51And it's Miguel Rojas who ties it in the top of the ninth.
30:00Saves it in the bottom of the ninth.
30:03Two out.
30:04Out.
30:05There was a brief stumble from Rojas at second base.
30:08But he recovered.
30:09Planted.
30:10And threw home.
30:11And Kainofalefa is deemed out.
30:14The question is going to be did Will Smith have his spike on the plate or not in time.
30:21It's up.
30:22It's down.
30:23I think it's back down before his foot hits the plate.
30:27The review is confirmed.
30:28They confirmed the call.
30:29Two outs in the ninth inning.
30:32Ernie Clement has collected more hits in this postseason than any hitter in any postseason.
30:39If he can get one more his name will live forever.
30:43Five ball to left field.
30:45Hernandez on the run with Pajas over his head.
30:48Pajas runs him over.
30:51Makes the catch.
30:53Sends game seven to the tenth.
30:56Oh my gosh.
30:58We're going to extra innings.
31:00A Yamamoto miracle in the ninth.
31:04Well they put Pajas in there for his throwing arm.
31:09The defense because KK Hernandez was playing shallow.
31:13He was going to have no chance to go back and get that ball.
31:16And the Dodgers with bases loaded and one out come up with two sparkling plays to take it to the tenth in game seven.
31:24So to the tenth we go.
31:26Not putting any extra runners on base right now would go a lot for the blood pressure of everybody here in John Schneider.
31:33Freddie Freeman is a game winning home run each of the last two World Series.
31:37Of course his World Series game one walk off grand slam last year.
31:41Eighteen inning walk off this year.
31:43Leading off the ten.
31:44Tied at four.
31:45And lifting a fly ball to left field.
31:47That sends him back.
31:48Straw to the track.
31:49Back against the wall.
31:50He's got it.
31:52Betts at the plate.
31:53Muncie on deck.
31:54Three balls and a strike.
31:55Betts in the driver's seat.
31:56And Dominguez nearly hits him with a fastball.
31:58Just missed the inside corner.
32:00The go ahead run on for the Dodgers with one out in the tenth.
32:04Max Muncie gave the Dodgers life with a solo home run in the eighth to make it 4-3.
32:09Back to the plate in the tenth.
32:11Tied at four.
32:122-2 to Muncie.
32:13Up to middle and through.
32:14Base at center field.
32:16Go ahead run into scoring position.
32:19Max Muncie his third hit of the ballgame.
32:22He came in four for his last 36.
32:25And he's come to life in game seven.
32:27Betts in second.
32:28Muncie at first.
32:29The payoff pitch.
32:30A foul.
32:31Ice is loaded for the Dodgers.
32:33Walk single walk to load him up.
32:36And Andy Pajes now finds himself with a chance at redemption at the plate.
32:422-1.
32:43Pajes up the middle.
32:45Jimenez comes home and gets the lead runner.
32:48The infield drawn in works for both teams late.
32:52Betts cut down at home.
32:53Two outs.
32:54Everyone moves up a base.
32:56Still 4-4.
32:57What a pitch.
32:58Sinker in on the hands at 97.
33:02How about Andre Cemenes.
33:03Cool as a cucumber.
33:05Throwing a strike.
33:06To Alejandro Kirk for the second out of the inning.
33:09Still one.
33:10Monumental out to get for the infield.
33:13Backs up.
33:14Bases loaded.
33:15Two down.
33:164-4.
33:17Top of the ten.
33:18Chopper.
33:19Right side.
33:20Not an easy play.
33:21Stominguez.
33:22Bit into the bag.
33:24Toronto's out of the bases loaded jam.
33:26The crew chief Mark Wegener tell us the Dodgers are challenging.
33:30This should be a quick review.
33:31Not easy though over there.
33:33Dominguez looking down trying to find the base.
33:35That was a tough play.
33:36And he did about as good a job as you can do under the circumstances.
33:41He was calm and got his foot down in time.
33:44Man oh man.
33:45Both teams right there.
33:47Golden chances.
33:48Neither are going to come through with the bases loaded.
33:52What are the chances?
33:53Both teams bases loaded one out and neither scored.
33:56And what Yamamoto's doing is unsure adrenaline.
33:59It's unbelievable to think that he could be in this game.
34:02In this situation after pitching 96 or so pitches.
34:07Bouncing by right side.
34:09Rojas charges.
34:10Shovels it on the first one away.
34:12Yamamoto 96 pitches in game six after the complete game in game two.
34:18In 1926 Grover Cleveland Alexander.
34:21Complete game.
34:22And then the next day two and a third to finish off the Yankees.
34:25He was 39 years old when he did it.
34:28Swings and misses.
34:29Strike three.
34:30Two gone.
34:31And as the clock strikes midnight here in Toronto.
34:35We play on to November 2nd.
34:38In the air to right field.
34:40No big deal for Teacer Hernandez.
34:42Yamamoto pitches a 1-2-3 tenth inning in game seven.
34:47We'll go to the 11th.
34:48Game four starters Shane Bieber back out on the mound here.
34:53He pitched on the 28th against the Dodgers.
34:56And here on November 2nd now.
34:59As we're past midnight eastern.
35:01He will go against Rojas Ohtani Smith.
35:04Two quick outs for Bieber on three pitches.
35:06Brad Guerrero Jr. will lead off the bottom of the 11th.
35:09And the Dodgers scratch a run across before then.
35:12Smith is one out of five.
35:13Doubled and scored the first Dodger run.
35:15Smith it's a high fly ball to deep left field.
35:18It's got a chance.
35:19It is good.
35:20It's Will Smith in game seven.
35:33And in the 11th inning of game seven the Dodgers lead for the first time.
35:38Smith lets it fly and breaks the tie in game seven as number 16 stays clutch.
35:48What.
35:49What a.
35:50We just.
35:51I just got done saying that somebody's going to be remembered.
35:53It could be Will Smith.
35:54Second home run of the postseason.
35:56He won game two with a home run against Kevin Gaussman.
35:59And if the Dodgers can get three more outs of one game seven.
36:04Yoshinobu Yamamoto tries to go the final two plus innings.
36:08And make Will Smith's home run stand up.
36:11Guerrero hitless on the night.
36:13Has been on once.
36:15Guerrero.
36:16Hooks one.
36:17Down the line.
36:18Towards the corner.
36:19It's a fair ball.
36:20It's extra bases.
36:22Tying run and scoring position.
36:24And a flash.
36:27Tying run and scoring position with nobody out.
36:31And the World Series winning run.
36:34Comes up to home plate.
36:35Do they play for the tie here.
36:36Corners think so.
36:37They're pinched in.
36:38This is kind of for left.
36:39Who's in for his defense.
36:41Yamamoto's pitch.
36:42On KF.
36:43Bunt toward third.
36:44It's a good one.
36:45Yamamoto Fields.
36:46Throw to first in time.
36:47What a play.
36:48But a great sack bunt.
36:50Bloody into third.
36:51Tying run 90 feet away with one out.
36:54Addison Barger to the plate.
36:56It's not the end of the world if they pitch around Barger.
37:00And you get him on first base because you've got a double play candidate.
37:04But a guy who can handle a bat.
37:063 0.
37:07Low ball four.
37:08Four pitch walk.
37:09Barger down to first.
37:11And Alejandro Kirk.
37:13Coming up to the plate.
37:14And they will play back for the double play ball.
37:17Just based on his speed.
37:19Two hits in the game for Kirk.
37:21Tying run on third in Vladdy.
37:23Winning run on first in Barger.
37:25Here's the 0 2 pitch.
37:26Kirk.
37:27Bounces.
37:28Up the middle.
37:29Bits to the back.
37:30Over to first.
37:31To beat the champ.
37:33You gotta knock him out.
37:35The Dodgers stand tall.
37:37And win back to back titles.
37:40From backs against the wall.
37:42To back to back.
37:45The Dodgers cement their dynasty.
37:49They win game seven in extra innings.
37:52Five for the final.
37:54They mob Yamamoto on the left side of the mound.
37:59The Dodgers become the first team in Major League Baseball in 25 years.
38:05To repeat as World Series champions.
38:09And they won.
38:10And they will win.
38:11For the final champions.
38:12For the final championship champions.
