00:27but once it was a few decorations that people didn't care about and maybe you'd put on a scary
00:32film or go trick-or-treating now it's aisles full of skeletons costumes and decorations to fill your
00:37house pumpkin picking trips massive halloween festivals ghost trains and haunted houses
00:42and people in the industry have seen the growth and people are certainly making the most of it
00:47it's actually amazing and that's why the inspiration from the states is so big for halloween because
00:53everything all the big halloween parks are doing in the states are slowly coming over here and
00:58granted like my dad david was one of the first ones in the areas to start doing pumpkins in a way
01:04that there's been so many people popping up that it just shows the popularity for it and and it gives
01:10some like there's so many different places to go and it means that then people can have a whole
01:14different experience going to different patches it's nice to have a variety isn't it like that's the
01:18spice of life like we went down to st faggins a couple of years ago and i love history so i'm not
01:23going to just go to the one event i want to go to that event too and because we're all delivering
01:29different things actually it's really nice like you said you can fill your calendar with events fill
01:33your calendar with days out and just go and make the most of what's on your doorstep and like we're
01:41really spoiling south wales that we've got so much to offer people it's not just how much it's
01:47grown as a celebration but also how many people are now involved in it families and people getting
01:52in the halloween spirit has brought it firmly into the mainstream and it's certainly cemented its place
01:57on all of our calendars going back sort of 10 years it was a big thing for you know creepy kids
02:05you know their parents um always good horror films come out around about halloween but it's it's
02:12definitely got well obviously it's got more commercialized everything does if you can make
02:17money off something let's make money off it um but it's i think the appeal has broadened which is nice
02:24it's not just for people trying to scare other people and it's not just you know skulls and bats
02:29and things uh the aesthetic is much wider now when you've got you know sort of a lot of uh
02:37a lot of people who wouldn't normally come to a place like this who are visiting pumpkin patches
02:42and having lots of new selfies and things like that um which is great it's you know it's a style
02:47it's uh you know it helps these you know farms and you know keeping them in business as well
02:53um anyway everyone's got a place in halloween it's all inclusive
