Police arrested five male teenagers following their dangerous motorcycle riding and obstruction of an ambulance's path at KM 249 of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) southbound, near Kuala Kangsar, which recently went viral on social media.

The incident occurred on Oct 19 when a Ministry of Health ambulance was heading to an accident location at KM 260 of PLUS in the same direction before the emergency vehicle's route was obstructed by the group.

00:20Perak Police Chief Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin said the incident took place on October 19

00:38All the 17-year-old suspects were tracked in the vicinity of Bukit Murtajam, Penang,
00:44before they were arrested along with five motorcycles on Monday. They were then taken
00:48to Kuala Kangsa Magistrates Court on Tuesday and have been remanded for two days until October 29
00:55to assist investigations under section 42 subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
