Taiwan is stepping up its AI strategy as government and industry coordinate to build core technologies. At a major tech conference in Taipei, National Development Council Minister Yeh Chun-hsien outlined investments in software, silicon photonics, quantum and robotics tied to the national “AI New Ten” projects. The private-sector industry group newly rebranded as the “AIoT Alliance” was founded by companies including Acer and MediaTek, and now says it has more than 500 members.
