00:58The allocations and initiatives
01:00will be focused on
01:02blending Malaysia into an AI nation
01:04and advancing government initiatives
01:06This national acquisition is
01:08enlightened by our position
01:09within Southeast Asia
01:10The region is already
01:12a collective AI powerhouse
01:14with a rapidly expanding
01:16digital economy projected to add
01:18over one trillion US dollars
01:20to our combined GDP and DISC
01:22in the next 60 months
01:24by the years of 2030
01:26While each member state has
01:27its own national strategy
01:28we are moving forward together
01:30The ASEAN guide
01:32or AI governance and ethics
01:34for example provides a crucial
01:36shared foundation of principles
01:38like fairness, transparency
01:40and accountability
01:41such public-private partnerships
01:43are the engine of our agility
01:45By partnering with the private sector
01:47we can experiment
01:49we can scale
01:50and adapt
01:51at the speed of innovation
01:53We can bank on
01:55real life relations
01:57instead of just speaking
01:59about the others
02:01This creates a living lab environment
02:03where new AI solutions
02:05can be created, tested and deployed
02:07Benefiting both our economy
02:09and most importantly
02:10our kind of operations
02:12However, none of this is possible
02:14without the right people
02:15and the right principles
02:17We must close the AI divide
02:19We must uphold ethics
02:21and integrity
02:22at all times
02:24This means investing heavily
02:26in digital talent
02:27From expanding our existing
02:29AI into Rakia online program
02:31to upskilling professionals
02:32in every sector
02:34We are aware that jobs are expected
02:36to be impacted by AI
02:38digitalization
02:39and the green economy
02:40over the next five years
02:42and that is the reason why
02:44government has focused on
02:46data center investments
02:47in the last 18 months
02:49We in Malaysia
02:50have looked at it
02:51from a holistic perspective
02:52We know
02:54that in order for us to succeed
02:55there are certain
02:56building blocks
02:57that we must put into
02:58That is of course
02:59something that the government
03:00must think about
03:01and as far as we are concerned
03:03we must create ecosystems
03:05that are sustainable
03:07We must make sure
03:08that there are regulatory
03:09processes that are created
03:10to make sure
03:11that these building blocks
03:12that we create
03:13these building blocks
03:14upon which the entire country
03:16will depend
03:17for its technology
03:18moving ahead
03:19will be sustainable
03:20We want to make sure
03:21in the next 20 years
03:22we build a country
03:24with consistent policies
03:26ensuring that the structures
03:28that we build remain
03:29and strengthen themselves
03:30as we go ahead
03:31This is where the thinking
03:33comes in
03:34on part of our own
03:35and it requires
03:36regulatory work
