00:04Comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan sharply criticized President Donald Trump's immigration policies and domestic troop deployments,
00:11calling the government's actions horrific.
00:13News.com has learned.
00:16Speaking on several recent episodes of the Joe Rogan experience,
00:20Rogan said that while he supports strong border security,
00:23the administration's tactics have crossed moral and constitutional lines.
00:27Joined by fellow comedian Duncan Trussell,
00:30Rogan condemned the administration's ongoing ICE raids that target undocumented immigrants living in the U.S.
00:36The immigration thing, the way it looks, is horrific, Rogan said.
00:41He argued that immigrants who have lived and worked in the country for decades without criminal records
00:45should not be treated like threats.
00:49Let's find a way if they've been productive members of society for 20 years,
00:53no criminal record, they work the entire time.
00:56They paid taxes.
00:58Find them a pathway to citizenship, Rogan said.
01:01Although Rogan previously supported Trump's 2024 campaign and has voiced agreement with stronger border control,
01:07he distinguished that from a blanket endorsement of immigration crackdowns.
01:11What people supported in Trump's immigration policies was the idea of keeping terrorists and cartel members from getting across the border, he said.
01:19Rogan said scenes of federal agents throwing women to the ground and handcuffing people just for existing on the wrong side of the dirt were morally indefensible.
01:30On another episode with comedian Brian Callen, Rogan criticized Trump's decision to deploy National Guard troops to several cities,
01:37including Chicago, under Operation Midway Blitz.
01:41The military in the street, I think, is a dangerous precedent, Rogan said.
01:46President Trump will not turn a blind eye to the lawlessness plaguing American cities,
01:51White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson said in an earlier statement.
01:56Rogan endorsed Trump on the eve of the 2024 election when he took to X to share a link to a lengthy podcast interview he conducted with Elon Musk.
02:04For the record, yes, that's an endorsement of Trump.
