00:00Trump administration on pace to shatter record
00:02Over 500,000 illegal aliens have been deported since President Donald Trump returned in January,
00:09potentially setting new deportation records.
00:12DHS states, Trump's administration is tackling four years of chaos,
00:17with over 2 million immigrants leaving, some forcibly, others voluntarily.
00:22DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin states,
00:24they're determined to hit historic records aiming for 600,000 deportations by year-end,
00:30not counting 1.6 million voluntary departures.
00:34She describes it as a reawakening of DHS, ICE, CBP, and the Coast Guard.
00:40Migrants are heeding the message to depart or face consequences,
00:43resulting in a 99.99% drop in illegal crossings through the Darien Gap.
00:49This dramatic decline is attributed to the administration's stringent approach to immigration enforcement.
00:54But while many are leaving on their own, hundreds of thousands aren't waiting for an invitation.
01:00DHS confirmed over 485,000 arrests since January, continuing crackdowns.
01:07Some of the arrests are disturbing to read.
01:10One man, Eric Xavier Romero, a Dominican national, was convicted of raping a child in Boston.
01:16From Guatemala, German Osvaldo Cortez Chajón was convicted of traveling for unlawful acts with a child,
01:22and Graciano López Flores from Mexico for child indecency in North Carolina.
01:28In Virginia, Van Pham was picked up for abduction and burglary.
01:32Patricia Pimentel Cordero had been convicted in Massachusetts.
01:36Carlette Zagal Salazar was taken into custody in Wisconsin for drug trafficking.
01:41Each case paints the same picture.
01:43Criminals who slipped into the country illegally, committed serious crimes,
01:47and now, finally, are being removed.
01:50McLaughlin emphasized,
01:52Nothing, not even a government shutdown, will slow us down.
01:56The numbers speak loudly in the ongoing immigration debate.
02:00Whether you support tough enforcement or not, this administration acts decisively.
02:04People in affected cities wonder who's next.
