00:05deportations.
00:07President Donald Trump doubled down on his immigration stance, insisting he has a bigger
00:11heart than anybody despite pushing for mass deportations across the U.S.
00:16We can't be extorted to give $1.5 trillion to people that came into the country illegally,
00:22many from prisons, many from drug dealers, Trump, 79, explained while hosting Republican
00:28senators at breakfast on Wednesday, November 5th.
00:31A lot of people came from mental institutions.
00:34They want to give a lot of money to the people that came in illegally.
00:37We have to get them out.
00:39He continued, no country can sustain that.
00:42That's like an attack on our country.
00:44These are not going to be productive people.
00:46These are going to be anti-productive people.
00:49We can all have big hearts.
00:51I have a bigger heart, but we can't let that happen.
00:54It's time for Republicans to do what they have to do.
00:57Trump's comments come days after he was slammed online for his merciless statements
01:02about raids by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement during an interview with 60 Minutes
01:07on Sunday, November 2nd.
01:10When asked by host Norah O'Donnell whether the often-violent raids targeting undocumented
01:14immigrants had gone too far, Trump responded,
01:17I don't think they've gone far enough.
01:19We've been held back by the liberal judges that were put in by Joe Biden and Barack Obama.
01:24Trump was questioned about whether he approved of ICE agents using extreme tactics, highlighting
01:29a young mother who was tackled to the ground and tear gas being used in residential neighborhoods.
01:34Yes, because you have to get the people out, you know, you have to look at the people.
01:38Many of them are murderers, he replied.
01:42Many of them are people that were thrown out of their countries because they were, you know,
01:46criminals.
01:47Trump's comments quickly drew backlash on social media, with many showing disgust with
01:51the president's ruthlessness.
01:52This coming from a felon is wild, one user wrote.
01:57Meanwhile, another critic added, highly disturbing words from a president.
02:01You're a 34-time convicted felon who hasn't faced any consequences yet.
02:07You have a larger criminal record than probably 99% of the people who your thugs are arresting.
02:12I think you need to go, a third added.
02:14You have to admit, I think you need to be a killer.
