00:00Frail Bill Clinton leaves Hamptons with defibrillator.
00:03Former President Bill Clinton, 79, has sparked renewed concern over his health
00:08after he and his wife, Hillary Clinton, were photographed leaving the Hamptons
00:13carrying a medical defibrillator, RadarOnline.com can report.
00:17The couple was seen at the airport on Thursday, August 28,
00:21with what appeared to be a Propac MD Air medical bag,
00:24a portable transport monitor, and a defibrillator.
00:27The sighting quickly reignited speculation about the former president's condition,
00:32given his long history of cardiac problems.
00:35Clinton, dressed in a blue jacket and tan hat,
00:38exited a vehicle accompanied by security before boarding the plane.
00:41His health, drawing considerable public concern,
00:44has visibly affected the once-energetic Democrat as he's aged.
00:48He has also faced multiple health emergencies since leaving the White House.
00:52Last year, Clinton was discharged from the hospital on Christmas Eve
00:56after being treated for the flu.
00:58The former president had been admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital
01:02in Washington, D.C. on December 23rd after developing a fever.
01:07Doctors conducted additional testing before releasing him.
01:10Angel Urena, his former deputy chief of staff,
01:13said in a statement at the time,
01:14President Clinton was discharged earlier today after being treated for the flu.
01:18He and his family are deeply grateful for the exceptional care provided by the team
01:23at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital,
01:25and are touched by the kind messages and well wishes he received.
01:28He sends his warmest wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season to all.
01:33Urena had noted a day earlier that Clinton was in good spirits
01:36and hoped to spend Christmas at home.
01:38That episode came just two years after Clinton was hospitalized in 2021
01:42with a urological infection that spread to his bloodstream,
01:45a scare that raised alarms about his fragile health.
01:48Clinton's heart issues date back nearly two decades.
01:52In 2004, he underwent a quadruple heart bypass
01:55at the Vivian and Seymour Milstein Family Heart Center
01:57after doctors found nearly 100% artery blockage.
02:02Doctors said he narrowly avoided a major heart attack.
02:05In 2010, he had a stent procedure,
02:07considered common but necessary given his history.
02:10Alongside health concerns,
02:12the Clintons have also been drawn back into the public eye for political reasons.
02:17On August 5th, they were subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee
02:20over the investigation into the government's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case.
02:24Though neither is under direct investigation,
02:27both must provide depositions,
02:29with Clintons slated for October 14th and Hillary's for October 9th.
02:33Compliance remains uncertain.
02:35Clinton, in his memoir last year,
02:37mentioned flying on Epstein's jet
02:39but denied knowing of his crimes,
02:41expressing regret.
02:43I wish I'd never met him,
02:45acknowledging the lasting fallout.
