Cyclone Montha : ఒక్కసారిగా మారిపోయిన Climate.. విజయవాడపై ప్రభావం | Oneindia Telugu

ఏపీ రాష్ట్ర విపత్తుల నిర్వహణ సంస్థ ఉదయం 11.30కు విడుదల చేసిన బులిటెన్ ప్రకారం పశ్చిమమధ్య బంగాళాఖాతంలో తీవ్ర తుపానుగా మొంథా బలపడింది. గత 6 గంటల్లో గంటకు 12 కి.మీ వేగంతో కదిలిన తుపాన్, ప్రస్తుతానికి మచిలీపట్నంకి 160 కిమీ, కాకినాడకి 240 కిమీ, విశాఖపట్నంకి 320 కిమీ దూరంలో కేంద్రీకృతం అయింది. ఈరోజు రాత్రికి కాకినాడ- మచిలీపట్నం మధ్య తీవ్రతుపానుగా తీరం దాటే అవకాశం ఉందని తెలిపారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో విజయవాడను కారుమబ్బులు కమ్మేసినవి. గంటకు 50 కిలోమీటర్ల వేగంతో ఈదురు గాలులు వేస్తున్నాయి.

Cyclone Montha Update:
According to the AP State Disaster Management Authority’s 11:30 AM bulletin, the depression over the west-central Bay of Bengal has now intensified into a severe cyclonic storm “Montha.”

In the last six hours, the cyclone moved at a speed of 12 km/h, and as of now, it is located about:

160 km from Machilipatnam

240 km from Kakinada

320 km from Visakhapatnam


Authorities report that Cyclone Montha is likely to make landfall between Kakinada and Machilipatnam tonight as a severe cyclonic storm.

Meanwhile, dark clouds have covered Vijayawada, and gusty winds reaching 50 km/h are already blowing across several parts of the region.
