00:00You began to research the value of the flat which Albert Alfonso owned, and no doubt that seemed to you a vast amount of money.
00:10It was naive to think you would ever be able to sell the property after Mr Alfonso and Mr Longworth were dead, but I'm sure you hoped to do so.
00:22Computer searches show that you also began to consider ways to get rid of your victims.
00:30Mosquera's sentencing of murder concluded a long and particularly disturbing trial into the events of July 8th last year in Shepherd's Bush.
00:43According to the prosecution, Mosquera, who was staying with the couple he murdered, decapitated and dismembered their bodies,
00:52froze parts of their remains and brought the rest in suitcases to Bristol, where he plans to haul them off Clifton Suspension Bridge.
01:04Mr Longworth was attacked with a hammer to the back of his head.
01:09Mr Alfonso's death was recorded as he was stabbed, with footage shown in court recording Mosquera singing and dancing in the aftermath of the attack.
01:24He pleaded not guilty to murdering both men and insisted Mr Alfonso killed Mr Longworth.
01:31You are now 35 years of age.
01:36You had no previous convictions either here or in Colombia.
01:41That is a significant piece of mitigation, though a shadow is cast over it by three other offences, of which I passed sentence this morning.
01:50Your laptop contained thousands of appalling pictures and films of the gross sexual abuse of very young children.
02:02In deciding on the minimum term, I must consider the guidelines set down by Parliament in Schedule 21 of the Sentencing Act 2020.
02:11The most relevant parts are, one, if I conclude each murder involved a substantial degree of premeditation or planning,
02:22or each murder involved sexual or sadistic conduct, the starting point would be a whole life order.
