00:00I'm here today at Liphook Sainsbury's for the launch of the Poppy Appeal here in Liphook.
00:05Such a vital charity supporting veterans across our constituency but across the country.
00:12And it's so important that we do remember our veterans here in the Parliament of Borden constituency.
00:17We have such a rich military presence with the ex-barracks town of Borden
00:21but still serving officers at the Longmore Ranges and of course Aldershot just north of the constituency
00:27that means that we have a lot of veterans and serving military personnel here.
00:31And in an increasingly dangerous and difficult world I think people need to remember
00:35that it's not just those who fought in wars long ago
00:38but people who are serving at the moment across the world
00:41and unfortunately will probably have to serve in war zones in years to come.
00:46So please do come and support the Royal British Legion, buy a poppy, show your support
00:50both in terms of giving money to support the charity
00:53but visibly to show you our respect, our thanks and our support for our veterans.
