00:00China did a substantial, unprovoked escalation last week.
00:05We were unable to get in touch with them since then.
00:08It's been IMF World Bank Week.
00:10They have had working-level people here.
00:13There have been meetings.
00:14The vice premier, who is my counterpart, and I will be speaking this evening at around 8.30, 9 o'clock.
00:21And then he and I in a delegation will meet in Malaysia probably a week from tomorrow to prepare for the two presidents to meet.
00:31So, again, I think that things have de-escalated.
00:36We hope that China will show the respect that we have shown them.
00:41And I am confident that President Trump, because of his relationship with President Xi, will be able to get things back on a good course.
00:49Is the hope for that meeting with you and President Xi some kind of trade deal then?
00:53Could be.
00:54Look, I think we're in a very strong position.
