00:00Look, for months we have stressed the importance of distinguishing things we can control and
00:07things we can't control.
00:10We can't control the trade policy of the United States.
00:13We recognize that that policy has fundamentally changed from the policy in the 1980s, 1990s,
00:212000s.
00:23And it's a situation where the United States has tariffs against every one of their trading
00:28partners to different degrees.
00:30And it's in that context that our officials, my colleagues, have been working with their
00:36American colleagues on detailed, constructive negotiations, discussions on specific transactions,
00:46specific sectors, steel, aluminum, and energy.
00:49And a lot of progress has been made.
00:52And we stand ready to pick up on that progress and build on that progress when the Americans
01:00are ready to have those discussions.
01:02Because it will be for the benefit of workers in the United States, workers in Canada, and
01:09families in both of our countries.
01:11Now, what we can control, absolutely, is how we build here at home, and that's the focus
01:19of Budget 2025, generational investment here in Canada.
01:22And what we can also control, or at least heavily influence, is developing new partnerships and
01:27opportunities, including with the economic giants of Asia, which is the focus of this trip.
01:34And, of course, we can control, the rest of him.
01:47And I think the benefit of this thing is, of course, that's what we need to get to say.
01:48And we're going to be here.
01:49And the benefit of this whole is that the United States of Canada has been making the
01:52single-person arise and is what we need to give you to do.
01:53The United States of Canada has ridden all the way, which is the leader for the United States
01:55of the United States of Canada.
01:56Or, the United States of Canada.
01:57And we're now doing that.
01:58And we're going to take you through the US that we need to get a place that we need to do.
02:00The United States of Canada.
02:01And we're looking for a sales event.
