00:00President Trump, of course, is we're watching in terms of the impact on these markets,
00:03saying that he's agreed to extend the deadline for a 50 percent tariff on the EU until July 9th.
00:08Trump says EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen asked for the extension during a call.
00:13Let's bring up Bloomberg News editor Tony Schutka.
00:15So he's adding a lot more certainty, but perhaps also alleviating some of the pressure going into that deadline.
00:21What did we hear?
00:23Yeah, well, Trump spoke just in the last hour or so.
00:26And that is that's essentially what he said.
00:29There's been this kind of merry-go-round with the EU last week or last Friday, I believe,
00:35brought a very sort of dark cloud over this huge economic relationship when Trump said that tariffs would go up within a week.
00:47And now he's backed off that after a call with Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the EU Commission,
00:53who I believe called it a good conversation.
00:56And they're kind of back to a starting point with a July 9th deadline for reaching the deal,
01:07which, you know, of course, is a very fluid undertaking because there's an awful lot to do.
01:16And the U.S. has been very, very adamant about what it wants.
