00:00Our message to government is very clear. No more tax on business. That is really not going to get the results, drive the growth mission that the government want to see. More taxes will slow down the economy, slow down business, slow down the economy and that will be a vicious circle.
00:20We need to lift the burden for businesses, more thriving businesses, more jobs, more tax, but back to the Chancellor, more money to pay for our teachers and nurses. So no more tax on business in the autumn budget.
00:35And when it comes to when your organisation, the British Chamber of Commerce, makes its submission to the Treasury ahead of the budget, will you be suggesting ways that rich trees might raise revenue?
00:46I imagine the Treasury would love to hear some ideas as to how they can raise revenue. Will you have recommendations of that form?

01:00We're there to show the evidence, to show how businesses are feeling and what they're thinking. And we're there to present solutions.
01:07So when we talk to Rachel ahead of the budget, we'll be saying this is what the situation looks like. Still fragile out there. It's still subdued.
01:16These are the things you need to think about to move the economy forward, to allow businesses to grow and thrive.
01:22Government set the frameworks right. They set the environment. They set the policy. But it's business that grow the economy.
