00:00A contract dispute between the Dallas Cowboys and their best player has become a game-changing

00:05divorce. All-pro pass rusher Micah Parsons will be introduced in Green Bay Friday afternoon

00:10after one of the biggest NFL trades in recent memory that could change the fortunes of both

00:16franchises for quite some time. As mega trades go, this was fairly straightforward. The Packers

00:24acquired perhaps the most disruptive defensive player in the game. Parsons has 52.5 sacks in his

00:30four seasons in the league. The Cowboys received defensive tackle Kenny Clark in return. He's been

00:37a stalwart in the middle of the Packers defense since being drafted in the first round in 2016.

00:43Dallas also gets the Packers first round draft picks in 2026 and 2027. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones

00:50believes his team can still win without Parsons, but that will be much tougher with a big hole in

00:56his defense. With Parsons on the field in 2024, they were one of the best units in the league.

01:01When he missed four games with an injury, they were statistically one of the worst.

01:06Jones defended the trade by talking about the players he could acquire with his newfound draft

01:12capital. Not only do we immediately get a player, but those draft picks could get us,

01:18I'm talking top pro bowl type players could not necessarily. You're going to be quick to say

01:24you won't necessarily get those players. You got to draft them or a quirm,

01:27but they could get us as few as three or as many as five outstanding players.

01:34From the Packers perspective, it seems they've announced they're in full go for it mode and

01:39they will pay a steep price for that chance. Not only did they give up two valuable first round

01:45picks, they agreed to a new contract with Parsons that'll pay him $188 million over four seasons.

01:52$120 million of that is fully guaranteed at signing. The deal makes Parsons the highest paid

01:58non-quarterback in NFL history. The Packers will welcome their newest star with a press conference

02:03Friday afternoon, but general manager Brian Gutekunst revealed Wednesday they were interested.

02:09You're never one player away, right? It's just, I never believed that. But good players make

02:15impacts. And so anytime there's players of that caliber that you can acquire, you're trying to.

02:22The Packers already had a good pass rush. They were eighth in the NFL with 45 sacks in 2024.

02:29Pairing Parsons with star Rashawn Gary gives them one of the best pass rushing duos in the league.

02:35Both players are in their prime and along with star quarterback Jordan Love are poised to challenge

02:40the best in the NFC for years to come. Parsons is sure to talk more about his disagreements with

02:46Jerry Jones and the Cowboys during his press conference Friday. But as part of a long goodbye

02:51to Cowboys fans posted to social media, he said, I never wanted this chapter to end, but not everything

02:58was in my control. My heart has always been here and it still is. Through it all, I never made any

03:04demands. I never asked for anything more than fairness. Dallas sports fans are sure having a

03:10rough year. This trade is as shocking as the Luka Doncic deal eight months ago. Now fans have

03:16September 28th marked on their calendars. That's when Micah and his new Packer teammates will be in
