00:00You have to remember I'm 95. I've met a lot of people. They're all good people.
00:08But he still would like to meet one more. To say 95-year-old Frank Urias is a character
00:15is an understatement. More like he's the life of the party at Remington Heights Retirement
00:20Community in Omaha, Nebraska. My goal is to make sure that we are bound together
00:27and love each other because we have such a short time ahead of us.
00:35About a month ago, he and Remington Heights Occupational Therapist Sarah Zyke were chatting about music.
00:41Sarah, a devoted Taylor Swift fan, or Swifty, told Frank about her love of Swift songs
00:47and attending her concerts.
00:49It all started with the conversation. I was just excited about the new album.
00:52And so I was having him memorize when the album was going to come out so we could have a listening party.
00:58Then he started bringing me little articles and anytime Taylor was in the newspaper.
01:04And then one day he surprised me with these buttons and every one of the community wanted the buttons.
01:10And then it's just kind of taken off from there.
01:12Now it's a movement. Frank started listening to Taylor Swift's music,
01:16reading about her history and rise to fame, and comparing notes with Sarah.
01:21They decided to write a card to the pop star, and it did not stop there.
01:25It's no longer just the two of you. Now you have a whole fan club.
01:29Yes, we have a fan club, and we have tried to keep it to a limited amount of people.
01:38But that's very hard to do.
01:41And this is what it has become.
01:44On a Friday morning, Frank shares a meeting of the Taylor Swift fan club.
01:48At least two dozen senior residents, most dressed in orange in anticipation of Swift's new album,
01:54The Life of a Showgirl, with buttons that say, I heart Taylor,
01:58chat about the number one item on their agenda,
02:01inviting the pop superstar to the nursing home and what it's going to take to get her here.
02:06The bingo offer is an open invitation.
02:09Come play bingo, Taylor!
02:12The Taylor Swift theme is everywhere at Remington Heights,
02:16including a makeshift tour bus near the front desk.
02:19Frank is at the center of it all.
02:21His wife of 70 years died six years ago.
02:24The loss still hurts.
02:25But all the hoopla surrounding Taylor Swift has helped fill the void.
02:29It's hard to explain the feelings you have for people because each one of us is different,
02:40and we love each other, and we're constantly doing things for each other.
02:47Activities director Becky Schindler has been here for nearly two decades.
02:51There's just so much positivity, the energy, that everybody has lots of energy when they come to the dining room,
02:57come to our activities.
02:59Anytime in the building, it's just hopping around here,
03:03and we see all of the Taylor Swift buttons and orange, a lot of orange in our building.
03:09Seeing that Taylor Swift is engaged to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelsey,
03:14you might think Frank is just a little bit envious.
03:17The truth is he's not.
03:19In fact, he's a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and he's got a story behind that too.
03:24Maybe a year, maybe a little longer, Travis was running with the ball.
03:31I'm sitting in my chair, and he's trying to get into the end zone.
03:37So I give him a shove.
03:41I end up on the floor.
03:44My therapist is still working on my shoulder.
03:47Oh my gosh.
03:48You could say Frank had to shake it off when it came to that injury.
03:53And if Taylor Swift ever did walk through these doors at this retirement home in eastern Nebraska,
03:58what would you say to Taylor Swift if she walked through that door
04:01and came to the Remington Heights to meet you?
04:05What would you say?
04:05Have you thought about it?
04:07No, I haven't.
04:08Okay.
04:09But, I would...
04:12You never know.
04:14If it didn't bother Kelsey, I'd give her a hug.
04:21We love you, Taylor!
