00:00To all of those young people of TikTok, I saved TikTok so you owe me big and now you're looking
00:07at me in the Oval Office and someday one of you are going to be sitting right at this desk
00:11and you're going to be doing a great job also. Hey guys, JD Vance here. Just want to let you know
00:16that we are relaunching the VP's TikTok page. I got a little lazy the last few months, was focused
00:20on the job of being VP. Not enough on TikToks. That's about to change. So follow along. We'll
00:25update you on what's going on in the White House, business of state. We'll update you on what's
00:30going on politically. Maybe some Sobrero memes here and there, but follow along and we'll look
00:35forward to connecting on TikTok. See you then. For the first time since the 2024 election,
00:40President Trump and Vice President Vance are back on TikTok. Both posted videos this week
00:45as the White House continues negotiations to keep the popular app under U.S. ownership.
00:50Trump, who once vowed to ban TikTok, has reversed course in his second term,
00:57pushing to preserve it through American investment. The administration extended talks
01:02with Beijing by 120 days as part of that deal. Reports say a group of high-profile investors
01:07is now working to finalize a buyout, including Lachlan Murdoch, Oracle's Larry Ellison,
