00:00At least five people killed after a Russian drone and missile strikes in the Ukrainian region of
00:04Lviv. The attacks happened overnight. Four of the dead are from one family. The BBC reports Poland
00:13scrambled fighter jets to ensure safety of Polish airspace. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky
00:18expressed his frustration with allies. Zero reaction from the world, he wrote on X. He went
00:23on to say we will fight so that the world does not remain silent. Meanwhile, Russian President
00:28Vladimir Putin says if the United States supplies Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles, it would lead to
00:33the destruction of Moscow's relationship with Washington. Last month, Vice President J.D. Vance
00:38said the government is considering supplying the missiles. However, no word of a decision has been
00:42made. When it comes to nuclear missiles, President Donald Trump was asked if he thought it was a good
00:47idea to extend the nuclear arms agreement for a year. President Putin offers to keep limits on
00:52nuclear arms for one more year to then hopefully negotiate the new treaty. Sounds like you do that.
00:57Sounds like a good idea to me. Putin said Russia is prepared to extend the 2010 New Start Accord,
01:03but only if the U.S. agrees. The accord puts a cap on the size of both nations' nuclear arsenal.
01:09The current deal expires in February. For Straight Arrow News, I'm Jack Henry.
