00:14Melissa has a maximum sustained wind of 230 kilometers per hour with even higher gusts,
00:20while its central pressure has reportedly decreased.
00:24The eye of the hurricane was located approximately 175 kilometers south-southwest of Kingston, Jamaica
00:32and 425 kilometers south-southwest of Santiago de Cuba.
00:38It is forecast that in the next 24 hours, Melissa will continue its slow movement westward south of Jamaica
00:45and is expected to gradually tilt its trajectory north and northeast to approach Cuban territory on Tuesday
00:53through the seas south of its eastern region.
01:01In this context, in Cuba, rescue and salvage units, along with the Relentary Armed Forces,
01:08are getting ready to address any eventuality Hurricane Melissa may bring to the eastern region.
