00:00When you look at Wright, though, Brian, what's the most underrated or overlooked aspect of his legacy with this franchise?
00:07Because I think there's a lot of things you could think about with him.
00:09But what do you think that people may overlook when it comes to David Wright and his legacy with the Mets?
00:15Base stealing, especially early in his career.
00:18I think the 30-30 season in 2007 gets a little bit forgotten, relatively speaking, with all the other accolades.
00:26The hitting, of course, everyone remembers, you know, won a couple gold gloves.
00:31But it might be a little bit harder for him.
00:33Many might not immediately look at David Wright and think of him as a great base runner.
00:37But he was pretty good, especially early on.
00:40During that 2007 season, he stole 34 bases, and he was only caught five times.
00:45So very selective, and I think it goes a lot.
00:48And this was a different era when there was not a lot of base stealing.
00:51So 34 was a pretty prolific number.
00:54But he was selective and effective when he did go.
00:58And that really went away after 2009, and the injuries began to pile up.
01:02So I always think about that in that 2007 season, which I think is his best season.
01:07The stolen bases really stand out.
01:09And like I said, he did it pretty effectively up for the first few years of his career.
