00:00Do we need a bigger overhaul on this roster, or should we really run it back, most of the pieces that we had, and making those tweaks that you're talking about?
00:07I think they're mostly going to run it back.
00:09I don't think the marketplace shapes up for what they want.
00:14I think they really have to prioritize Bellinger, who fits into every little bucket we just talked about.
00:22You go down the universe of guys who don't strike out a lot and can put the ball over the fence.
00:25He hit 29 homers and struck out 14% of the time, which was a career low for him.
00:30But he's always a guy who limits strikeouts and can hit for power, play across the outfield, play first base.
00:34He could run, he could defend, he could hit left on left.
00:37To me, he's a very big priority for them.
00:39So, like, if you told me the Yankees brought back Bellinger, I think that they probably then do things around the edges.
00:46Because I know the place that Yankee fans want to go, which is shortstop.
00:50What's available that you would feel comfortable and confident doing?
00:56And then part of it is you're always playing a little bit of a bridge game.
00:59Do you think George Lombard is ultimately going to be your shortstop?
01:05They probably don't want to block the position for too long.
01:08And internally, not Ryan Sampson and Yankee fans, internally they still have faith that Volpe is going to be something.
