00:00Discouraging news for the opening night of the next season against the Cleveland Cavaliers at
00:04Madison Square Garden. Both Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson have been ruled out with Josh Hart. It's
00:10back lumbar spasms due to an injury that occurred in the preseason opener at Abu Dhabi. The Knicks
00:15are said to be taking it slowly with him. You know, obviously backs are tricky. He's begun
00:20individual work. He's running but not scrimmaging and the Knicks will progress,
00:24you know, ramp up his rehab as they, you know, as his body feels fit. Mitchell Robinson is out with
00:31what's being called left ankle injury management. Now this is obviously problematic because that's
00:37the same ankle that Mitchell Robinson had surgery on twice, once in December of 2023 and then again in
00:44May of 2025. This is obviously something that's going to be worth monitoring. The Knicks are
00:50claiming there was no injury to his ankle. However, he did play the first two, the first
00:56three preseason games, did not play the second half of that third one, and then has not played
01:02since. And so the Knicks are saying injury management. Originally, coach Mike Brown had
01:08said that Mitchell Robinson would be playing if it were the regular season. Obviously, that's not the
01:12case. So this is something to monitor continuously throughout this season. You know, Knicks fans are
01:17very aware of what that left ankle can mean for Mitchell Robinson. What's going to happen
01:21with the lineup in the rotation in game one then? Well, Mike Brown has hinted that he'd want to
01:27stick with a traditional center. That would mean Ariel Huck-Porty. Of course, that's not official,
01:33that's not finalized, but that was some early indications from coach Mike Brown. And then this
01:39is going to test the depth that the Knicks acquired in the offseason. You know, Jordan Clarkson,
01:45Gershon Yabuselli, Miles McBride is going to play a lot of minutes. The Cavs are also banged up.
01:52They don't have Darius Garland or Max Struess. Although it is between two potential championship
01:57contenders, certainly contenders in the East, we're not going to get full strength from either team.
