Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp has called the mistaken release of convicted sex offender Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu “shocking incompetence” by Labour ministers.
He said Kebatu should never have been freed and demanded an apology and full inquiry, adding the case shows Labour has “lost control” of Britain’s borders. Report by Etemadil. Like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/itn and follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/itn

00:00It's welcome that he's finally been found by the police, but of course he should never have been released in the first place.
00:05It really is shocking incompetence being presided over by Labour ministers like David Lamey and Shabana Mahmud.
00:12He should never have been let out. He was obviously and is a danger to women and young girls.
00:19And I think both the Justice Secretary and Home Secretary should apologise to the public
00:24and there should be a proper inquiry into what happened.
00:27This does also underline the importance of getting control of our borders because this man arrived illegally by small boat
00:33and within just eight days sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.
00:38And that happened because Labour has lost control of our borders.
00:41And this year so far, up until the end of September, has been the worst year in history for illegal boat crossings over the Channel.
