00:00This is not the voice that you probably wanted to hear, but it is I, Andy Cohen.
00:06I have to say, I fantasized for years about sitting in this chair.
00:10This is not how I thought this would go down.
00:13Is Andy Cohen taking over the Howard Stern show?
00:17Eh, not so fast.
00:19The SiriusXM stars hilariously trolled listeners in the wee hours of Monday, September 8th,
00:24by making it seem like the king of Bravo was beginning a new reign as the face of Channel 100.
00:30In the staged bit, Andy called it a surreal morning and claimed that Sirius had parted ways with the 71-year-old Shock Jock.
00:38Gotcha.
00:39Howard eventually came on and confirmed the whole thing was a joke and that he's returning to SiriusXM.
00:44It got a laugh from Howard's wife, Beth.
00:46But The Biggest Loser's Bob Harper was fooled, commenting,
00:50Everything you've been reading in the paper about me or about Robin is completely false.
01:01What pisses me off is now I can't leave.
01:03I've been thinking about retiring.
01:05Now I can't because then they'll say I got pushed out.
01:07Howard assured fans he's very happy at SiriusXM and claimed the retirement rumors were completely false,
01:13despite a report from the Daily Mail alleging that it was actually a desperate hoax by Howard's own team to boost ratings.
01:21Howard also claimed the fake news story had popped up this summer,
01:25shortly after news broke that CBS had fired Stephen Colbert because he was, quote,
01:30Too woke.
01:31Howard famously endorsed Hillary Clinton for president in 2016
01:34and was granted a rare sit-down with then-VP Kamala Harris during the 2024 race.
01:41Both Democratic candidates lost to Republican Donald Trump.
01:44As for the fate of Howard's $500 million contract,
01:47that's still up this fall and no details of a new deal have been reported,
01:52although both the president and CEO of Sirius have stated they want their headline-grabbing star to stay on.
