01:24want to say too much, but it's lack of evidentiary support.

01:33There's a big difference between a civil lawsuit, which you can like, allege anything, sometimes
01:39truthful things, sometimes not truthful things.

02:34had my back to, um, jewelry from Whitney, skincare from Whitney.
02:39So I've been really supportive of all of their businesses.
02:42So it was shocking that they felt like it was going to be like this mic drop boom thing
02:47to talk about mine.
02:48I will probably get sued again.

03:28And, and so like, I just feel like, um, she, you know, she made up a lot of stuff last year
03:35about me talking about her business and what got out there in the press when I think it
03:39was, it's a lot of diversion from what's actually happening.

04:08my face when they have numbers, when they feel like they're aligned and doing that.

04:21It was like that, like my marriage got talked about last year and Meredith's marriage got

04:30I don't talk about their marriages, you know, and I think that it was like really gross and
04:36hurtful that they do that with my business every year, my business, my marriage, my kids
04:42get brought up, um, which I don't like.
04:44I don't bring up their kids in a negative way in any capacity.
04:48So, you know, it's like, it was weird.
04:50It's also kind of funny.
04:51You think after like a few years of them trying and failing to take you down that they would
04:54try to do something else.
04:56I mean, I just think that Bronwyn was really upset that, um, she lied about me last year
05:02about multiple things.
05:03And the, the one thing I had definite proof of is I introduced her to a jeweler.
05:08She was borrowing jewelry and saying she bought it.
05:12And I never, I didn't even know who the jeweler was until probably four days before the reunion
05:17that it was like my friend that I introduced her to.
05:19And I think she was so embarrassed that she got caught lying that she wanted to make me look
05:25bad.
05:26It was complete retaliation.
05:27And I'm like, but you're not retaliating on the same level.
05:30Like you flat out lied about buying jewelry, a necklace, earrings, a ring to Andy's face,
05:36my face.
05:36She went on bio files and said the same thing.
05:38It was measuring contest.
05:40And so it's like, you know, you got busted.
05:44And instead of just saying like, you know what?
05:45I lied.
05:46I don't even know why I lied.
05:47She was like, I'm going to make Lisa look bad, but you don't make someone look bad for
05:51like just practicing business and doing deals.
05:54And do you feel, because you said that she lied a lot about you and then the jewelry
05:57thing, are there, is that kind of like her through line?
05:59Does she lie a lot about her life?
06:01I just think that there's a lot of things that aren't true that's said.
06:07And I think, um, you know, just the way people handle situations is different from me to her.
06:12I just think we handle things differently.
06:14I think that she was totally retaliating against me, but I'm like, oh my gosh, this is a dumb

11:35But I think Mary and I have like a definite respect for each other.
11:40because we can go through hard things and talk through it.
11:45Like we've had very direct conversations.

12:07So tell us about that journey and how the psychic sort of I guess revealed some cracks in the marriage.
12:15Well I think that the psychic hit something that like I think when you're married for a long time.

12:22Like I don't want to get emotional.

12:24It's an emotional thing.
12:26He's your person.

12:28John Marlowe is my person.
12:29But I think like for me it just like hit me like oh my gosh what if we're not on the same page.

12:36But also it's a thing too you guys always see.

12:41But you guys are so go go go and you always are.
12:44I think that it was hard because when like I remember we went on a yacht trip in 2017.
12:49And I remember thinking like I'm trying to make myself not like think about it because like my life my the most important part of my life is my family.
12:58Like if you don't have your family you don't really have anything and I'm from a big family and I was raised where family is everything.
13:05And so I think like when we went on the yacht trip in 2017 it was the first time we like left the kids a hundred percent and I was like oh my gosh what if we don't have anything to talk about.
13:15And we did and we like had the best time and we're like where do we have kids like where are we going when are we going back.
13:21We've been gone for three weeks and it's been like you know like the most amazing time.
13:26And I think when the psychic said that I was also he was also talking about my friendships and how people treat me and I think that coupled with you know we've been married for a very long time and people grow.
13:40You hope they grow and like you want to make sure you're growing together and not apart and you have to take that very seriously.
13:46John is a very type A personality.
13:49I think people think I'm that he is.
13:52He speaks in sarcasm.
13:53He's really really funny and like I think that there was a part of me that was sad because when the psychic said that like I'm like oh my gosh this is crazy you're talking about John.
14:02He brought up other very specific things and I was like oh my gosh how do you even know this like it's like not something John and I would talk about like and so I thought that that hit pretty hard and then what he said about my friendships too like was pretty spot on.
14:18And I think that coupled with each other was like super emotional but marriage is like a big deal like you know you commit to a person.
14:26My parents were married 38 years before they got divorced.
14:29Wow.
14:29And you know like there's a lot of divorce in my family on my mom's side there's no one that's married and like and all of my sisters are divorced and I think like when you see that happening around you it's like something you know like hey I'm it's worth working really hard at my marriage and you know and John's my person.

14:48And like did you and John do anything to reconnect or rebuild after that meeting with the psychic?
14:54I mean we're complicated but but I think no it was like John's like I you'll see you'll see this season like you know where we're at but we have you know one of our kids is leaving home like he left home for two years and he's making big boy decisions like with Jack and like his future and what that looks like and how involved we are.
15:13I think it's really challenging when you put so much love and energy and focus into your family in certain aspects of your family based on who has needs and then that changes I think it throws you off a little bit I think it throws you off your game.
15:30I remember when I was in college I worked at a boutique and this lady I was like asking your question she was so beautiful buying like gorgeous clothes and and she was like I'm like are you still in love with your husband you seem so happy and she's like I respect him.
15:43And that's more important than like love and I think to have both is a big deal.
15:50I also love like the life lessons at a boutique.
15:53That's magical.
15:54That's healing.
15:56Life lessons and I got so many from my mom's girlfriends where they'd be like never love your husband more than he loves you like blah blah blah.
16:02But I think like you know having like knowing like how important marriage is for me it's you know it was like hard to have someone point out something that you're probably already feeling.
16:13Yeah and how happy were you to skip an RV to hang out with Ben Affleck and Blake Lively.
16:17You know I can't tell you how happy I was like I mean I'm sad that I'm not around and like I didn't get to defend myself in person but I love what I do for work and I think a lot of people don't even know how many things I have pots I have my hands in and and that's one that I feel like makes me feel like me and accomplishing like and like accomplishing with like connections and building and helping other people.
16:43people with like experiential activations like for me that's a big deal so I needed that for me yeah more than an RV trip.
16:51And I feel like Blake would have loved you like Blake there's a toll table talking about my lawsuits girl we're not alone I'm with you girl we're both dealing with it.
16:58I had no idea they were even talking about it so when I was there I was having the best time with amazing people and smart people and like talking about things that like inspire me.
17:08And so for me it was like such a difference like I was on a high and like when I when it came to my attention that like the girls were talking about me in a negative way.
17:18And all I kept thinking is like wait why aren't they talking about all the great things I do and all my wins or like where I was and why I was there because it wasn't a secret.

17:27Yeah it was so cool and I do so many interesting cool things we have a new lounge in Park City and like I love to celebrate like other people's wins so it was weird to me that you know I mean it's obvious where it was.
17:40It was like you know a deterrence from where they were yeah wait really quickly because you are the queen of Sundance what do you think of it moving to Colorado are you going to Colorado you know I'm friends with Amy Redford Robert's daughter and I think we all have like like it's a part of us so like I started going up for to Sundance when I was in college and had like the most insane amazing experiences.
18:04And then we launched our brand Vida at Sundance 2007 we started the brand in 2004 launched there at 2007 closed a big deal while John Legend was performing up there I did so many iconic film premieres and studio events and network events like it's literally like a big part of me like you grow up with Sundance so many great business relationships have come from Sundance like owning brands with people that I own
18:34brands with started at Sundance so I think that it's like bittersweet it's like heartbreaking a lot it's like a big part of Park City in the community like we own our lounge premiere because of premiere Sundance Film Festival premiering premiere Vida Tequila Lounge and doing deals in the same space for so many years and then it's like now we're a partner in this and we own this and it's like you know like it's bittersweet for me because I've grown up with it yeah like and it like very cool cool things
19:04have happened friendships have happened friendships like everlasting friendships so yeah with clients and cool people so I'm sad I'm actually really sad I think Boulder's very lucky yeah
19:15and they're gonna be lucky too because I feel Lisa Barlow's gonna be partying in Boulder then

19:21yeah we were talking about that on a call last Friday and I think it's gonna be amazing to do that but I'm grateful for the institute and how supportive they've been

21:52best job ever but you can tight lift it like sculpt and leave in the same day you can get like a
21:58beautiful eyebrow lift you can do so much and I think it's like worth the money like it's you know
22:04like 3500 and you leave and you're like I look amazing a lot cheaper than a facelift yes you know
22:09but you know and there's nothing wrong with getting a facelift too like we're all aging I'm not anti that
22:14at all I think it's better than filling your face full of fillers but for me threads and you can tell in
22:19confessionals when I have threads and when I don't and I've you know last year I was at a fan fest in
22:24Miami and we stayed out till 6 30 in the morning I had the best time I was singing I was DJing I was doing
22:30all the things with amazing people that I'm blessed to work with and you know I got on the carpet and
22:36there was some bad lighting and people like to talk about my face but I'm like I'm pretty I have
22:41naturally pretty features I'm blessed thank you Jesus and God and my mom and dad and everybody but
22:46I'm like you can do things to enhance that and you shouldn't be shamed for that you know and whatever
22:51you choose to do is fine but I like to be natural too like you guys have seen me with absolutely nothing
22:57no threads nothing and I feel comfortable both ways I don't think there's anything wrong with
