New York City’s mayoral race kicked off with a huge voter turnout as early voting began on Saturday. Nearly 80,000 New Yorkers cast their ballots across the five boroughs, marking one of the strongest first-day turnouts in recent memory.
Manhattan led with over 24,000 voters, followed by Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island.
Affordability, crime, schools, and homelessness topped voter concerns, with many residents calling this election “make or break” for the city’s future.
In the latest polling, Zohran Mamdani holds a commanding lead, reshaping the race as momentum builds heading into Election Day.
