00:05allegedly murdered Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband and attempted to murder
00:10state Senator John Hoffman and his wife. In a series of written messages and two 20-minute
00:15video visits with The Post, Belter said that his motives were not related to President Trump,
00:20who he admitted he does support, or related to his pro-life beliefs. Now, Belter told our reporter,
00:26quote, there is a lot of information that will come out in the future that people will look at
00:30and judge for themselves. He added that the info goes back two years, but wouldn't really expound
00:36on that any further. What he did want to talk about, though, was the yet-to-be-released letter
00:41that authorities found in his car addressed to FBI Director Kash Patel. Belter said, quote,
00:46certain details of that letter were leaked out that probably painted one kind of picture,
00:51but a lot more important details that were in that letter were not leaked out. Now,
00:56he told The Post that he actually requested the letter be secured when he was arrested,
01:00concerned that someone would destroy it.
