00:00Lil Nas X is making headlines for a disturbing series of events that landed him in both the
00:05hospital and jail. The 26-year-old rapper was arrested the morning of August 21st after a
00:11bizarre incident in Los Angeles. Police say he was spotted wandering Ventura Boulevard
00:15wearing only underwear and boots, even placing a traffic cone on his head while telling bystanders
00:22he was heading to a party. Multiple 911 calls were made and when officers arrived around 5.50
00:28AM, Lil Nas X allegedly charged at them. Sources told NBC News he punched an officer twice in the face
00:35before being taken into custody and transported to a hospital for what police described as a
00:41possible overdose. He was later booked at Van Nuys Jail on a misdemeanor battery charge.
00:47Hours before the near-naked outburst, surveillance cameras caught the Grammy winner roaming through
00:52a Hollywood hotel where he wasn't a guest. Dressed in a cowboy hat, jeans, and boots,
00:58he lingered in the courtyard, grabbed a glass of water, and eventually removed his shirt
01:02before wandering off. Fans also noticed troubling social media activity in the days leading up to
01:08his arrest. Lil Nas X had posted nearly a dozen photos of a chaotic, cluttered home,
01:14along with cryptic captions, including one that read,
01:17Oh no she's gone mad, crazy I tell you. The shocking turn of events comes just months
01:22after the rapper admitted life has been pretty difficult in recent years. In February, he opened
01:27up to followers about struggling with confidence and trying to bring more joy and fun into his
01:31music. He said he wanted his next era to be full of love and asked fans to stick by him.
