00:00You're running an empire. You have a wonderful marriage. You and your family get along and you
00:04seem to know exactly who you are. So why did you join the Real Housewives of Miami?
00:09So it's a little bit of a long story, but I'm going to try to make it short for you.
00:12I was approached a couple of years ago to do a show. It was, you know how there's a lot of
00:18shows about realtors? Well, this one was going to be real estate developers, female real estate
00:22developers. We shot the pilot and I loved the experience so much. I was like, oh my gosh,
00:28I actually enjoy having the cameras around. I want to show the world who I am, what I do.
00:34Unfortunately, it didn't get picked up, but the reviews were that they really liked me if we could
00:39maybe find another round of cast. So a year went by, they found another cast. I shot it again. I was
00:47even more into it. And unfortunately it didn't get picked up again because the cast just wasn't it.
00:53But I liked the experience. So that is really the true reason why I was like, let's give it
00:57Housewives of Chai. Because I was like, you know, the girls seem like they could be nice.
01:04I could, I will experience what it's like to be on TV and I'll get to show like my, my life.
01:10Well, third time's the charm. Yep. Third time's the charm.
01:12And you know, your parents came from Columbia with only a backpack and a desire to build a better
01:17life for their family. Born here. Mercy Hospital.
01:20Oh, oh me too. Mercy Hospital.
01:21My parents came to this country with nothing but a backpack. Being a first generation American
01:30has made me who I am today. What do they make of your success?
01:35Oh my gosh. That makes me emotional. Um, because my mom was just texting me like 10 seconds ago.
01:42We have a group chat, um, with everybody here. And I just feel like it just solidifies that like she
01:48made a good, good decision. She left her parents. She had nine brothers and sisters. She left them
01:53all. She came to this country, not knowing English and to, to have kids and like give us a better life.
01:58And to know that like I've made it to where I've made it and like that I'm happy. Cause for her,
02:03the most important thing was that I'm happy and I'm like fulfilling my goals. Um, it's just,
02:07it makes her really proud and my dad as well. And will we see more of them on the show?
02:11Yes, you will. And, uh, funny enough, you said something that I have a great family. I do have
02:16a great mom and dad. Unfortunately, I do have identical twin sisters that I don't speak to
02:21for the last three or four years. So I think that will showcase on, um, on the show of like why things
02:28went wrong. And, uh, so hopefully like future we fix it. And you revealed that you met your husband
02:34at a Miami, Miami heat game. What initially drew you to him?
02:38Okay. So funny enough, nothing drew me to him at first. He sent his friend to approach me at the
02:46bar. I was with a friend and his friend was like, Oh, Mr. Masood Shoja, I would like to meet you.
02:51And I looked over and I was like, Oh, well, I'm not walking over to a guy. And he looks like a little
02:56bit older than like what I'm aiming for here. Um, fast forward, the guy went back and told him like,
03:02that girl's not walking over here and she's not really into meeting you right now. Um,
03:06he walked over to me, Masood. And I was like, Oh, I heard you're a real estate developer. I'm in
03:11real estate. Like I want to sell your houses. He's like, let's go talk about it over dinner.
03:16So I gave him my number and we planned dinner. I canceled on him twice. Um, I just wasn't really
03:22feeling going out to dinner with him as much as people say that I'm a gold digger. If I really was
03:26a gold digger, I probably would have gone on to the first two times that he asked me a year went by.
03:31We ran into each other again at the Miami heat game and the rest is history.
03:36There you go. What happens when it's supposed to happen. Uh, and will we see him in future
03:40episodes? You will see him a little bit. He's not like super into being like a house husband.
03:46Is that what they're called? Yeah. House husbands. He's not really into it. Um, but you'll see him
03:50at Shoma and we do go on a double date with Martina because he loves Martina. He used to watch
03:54Martina play. Uh, so I wanted them to meet. Your introduction on the show is flying Larsa Pippen
04:00from Miami to Orlando to pick up your dog. But you must really love me if you're flying with
04:05me to go get pebbles. I thought we were going to the mall. I thought we were going to get lunch.
04:09Only Stephanie would invite you to run errands with her to fly to Orlando to pick up her dogs. Like
04:14who does that? Is that even normal? Is this a normal errand for you? This is a normal errand
04:19for me because let me, let me explain. People that have babies, they want their parents to take
04:25care of their baby, right? That's like the best nanny, right? You know, that, you know, your parents
04:29are going to take care of your kid. So like the best nanny that I could have for my dogs would be
04:33my parents. And my parents live in Orlando. Well, if I go on the bright line, they have to go into the
04:37little bag and my dog is a diva. She's not going into the little bag. And if I drive, like I'm not
04:42driving. So do you just fly? So it seems very normal. Right. And it isn't extravagant or is it time
04:49efficient? You're very busy. Yeah. It's time efficient. And I think, you know, time is money. It takes,
04:54you know, driving. There's like three and a half hours and flying there. It's not like 43 minutes.
05:00You know, I saved money. I know you hate when people are late, which might be a problem for
05:04you this season because glam takes forever with these women. By the end of it, did you learn to
05:10give them some grace or did you hold firm? No, I hold firm. And I don't think it's glam that
05:15delays them. I think they're late to the glam. The glam teams are for the most part on time. And I've
05:19seen it. I've witnessed it for confessionals and stuff like they're the glam teams are there waiting
05:23for the girls. I just have zero patience for people that are late like that because I feel
05:28like you're sending a message and the message is, I'm so important that you should wait for me. Like
05:33my time's more valuable and you're going to sit there and wait for me. I just think it's really
05:37rude. So you give Alexia some free advice about Todd, which she took well in person, but not in her
05:44confessional. Just tell you something without like overstepping my boundaries with Todd. Yeah.
05:48Like when God takes out the garbage, you don't go back into the garbage and like go diving,
05:54you know, he like took it out. So you don't go back in. I know, but I have to realize that on my
05:59own. Stephanie's comment is way out of line. She doesn't know me well enough to make a comment
06:06like that about my husband. Do you wish you'd been softer in your messaging? Will that come up
06:10again this season? My messaging comes up every day. Okay. My messaging is very direct. I am very
06:19to the point. I ripped the bandaid type of personality. I don't want to sugarcoat anything.
06:26You know exactly where you stand when you're with me in business. That is how you conduct business.
06:30I mean, I don't like to run people that like run around the bush. I don't like people that are,
06:35you know, bullshitters. My messaging is a huge problem this season, but huge. Like I'm talking
06:41about like my biggest problem is my messaging. And I think my messaging was the real reason of
06:45the demise with my sisters, my friendship. So, yeah. Well, you've got to witness quite a show
06:51at Martina and Julia's baby shower. Had you had any idea how bad things were between Larsa and Lisa?
06:58No, I didn't. And she kept on telling me like when we were hanging out off camera and I thought
07:05like there's no way like she's this, people get this mad and yeah, it's, it's bad. I didn't love
07:12the reasons Lisa was giving that she wanted to be your friend. Hey Steph, you know what? They've
07:18been trying to get us together. Yeah, same. I'm like, who is this girl? Because I was supposed to,
07:22I'm like, she's rich. I want to be friends with her. She has an amazing jet and I want to be friends
07:29with people that have jets and yachts. What was your initial reaction? No, no, no,
07:35no. Let's let, I mean, listen, I'm going to be honest with you. Yes. People like to have rich
07:39friends. Like, I don't know. Like why are people so scared to talk about money? I mean,
07:43like, it's nice to have friends that have nice things. I mean, I like nice things. It's just,
07:47I don't want you to only want to be my friend because of that. You know, it's cool. You want
07:51a friend that will like fly you places, but at the same time, like I am pretty cool and I am pretty
07:55funny. Like get to know that side of me too. Some people have an emotional support dog.
08:00You have an emotional support Birkin. Don't touch the Birkin. It's like when you see somebody with
08:12their emotional support dog, you don't go pet the emotional support dog. You don't talk to the
08:16emotional support dog. Don't talk to my Birkin. Just let the Birkin be. Can you tell me the story
08:21of you getting your first Birkin? Uh, yes, I, it wasn't even like an impressive Birkin. It was,
08:28it, I walked in and I said, Oh, you know, it's like, you know, like a size 30 Birkin in the color
08:33gold. And they told me, Oh, you know, it's just not as easy as like walking in here. You have to
08:37build a relationship. And I was like, what does that mean? And there goes the point of like,
08:41what does that mean? Let's not sugarcoat this is build the relationship, like spend more money here.
08:46Like, let's just cut to the point. Um, long story short, I got my first Birkin and my advice to
08:51anybody that wants Birkins is if you're going to go down that route, it's addicting. You'll never
08:55stop. And you'll always want the next one and the next one until you build a collection where you have
08:59to build a whole new closet. And then you're not going to want anybody to look at them, touch them
09:03or breathe on them. So it's all downhill from the first one. Last question. What can you tease about
09:08the rest of the season? Um, I think things get for me really, really crazy. It was wild. It was
09:18crazy. I didn't know that girls could be so mean. I didn't know that there could be so much gossip
09:23behind your back. But at the same time, I also realized as the season went on that it's like a
09:31sisterhood and that like, you really do fight like you fight with your sisters, you pull each other's
09:36hair. And then like you're having Thanksgiving and you're hugging and saying you're super thankful
09:40for that person. So I'm really thankful for all of them. And they did teach me a lot. And I'm very
09:45happy that I joined this season.
