00:00We are here with Gina from The Real Housewives of Orange County.
00:03I'm really liking this season so far, and we were just talking about how tonight is a really, really fun episode.
00:09Yeah.
00:10And, you know, I was really happy to see that you and Travis were back living together.
00:13Me too.
00:14How has it been having everyone under one roof again?
00:17It's been wonderful.
00:18Honestly, obviously, that has been something that has been really hard for us as a family.
00:24Travis and I have made the decision to move back in together.
00:30Are you going to carry me through the threshold?
00:32I'm not.
00:33Although I don't regret taking the time that I felt like I needed to kind of figure it out,
00:38I'm actually really happy because now we've come together and I'm recommitted in a way that, like,
00:43I feel fully 100% committed to this situation and this circumstance.
00:48So it feels really good.
00:49The kids are so happy.
00:51Well, I want to get into everything going on this season because the fans have really been rallying around Katie.
00:56Did that surprise you at all?
00:57Is there something you think that maybe everyone's missing?
01:00Well, I think it will become more clear.
01:02I think it's really difficult for the fans to see things that aren't there.
01:06So I think it's really difficult for them to understand the things that were happening off camera.
01:11Right.
01:11We do our best to try to explain that.
01:13That's number one.
01:14I think number two, things will become more clear as time goes on.
01:17But also, I'm going to be honest, like, I'm questioning this whole idea that all of the fans are rallying there
01:24because I don't, I don't, I see some of it, but I certainly don't see all of that.
01:28First of all, on the show, nobody has a problem with Katie anymore.
01:33Like, as soon as she apologized for the things that she had done to me from the previous year,
01:37I immediately moved on and am on good grounds with her.
01:42And I feel like most of the women are, except for Shannon, obviously, you know.
01:47And I understand it.
01:48I think that Shannon, in that particular instance, she was, I think she's even said this, maybe even to you,
01:55that she feels that maybe she overreacted a bit.
01:58She was giving the emotion for that circumstance based on where she was emotionally at the time that it all happened.
02:06And I think a little bit of it was displaced.
02:09I am not going to let you rile me up.
02:11I'll let the ladies handle it.
02:12This girl, worse than Alexis Molino.
02:16Worse than Tamra Judge.
02:18That's bad.
02:19We're done.
02:19So, I mean, certainly Shannon doesn't think that Katie is worse than Alexis.
02:24Let's be real.
02:25Okay.
02:25Well, I know you've said in interviews that you would reconsider your spot on the show if Katie were to return.
02:31When we talked to Katie, I think it was a couple weeks ago, she said she'd love to come back for another season
02:36so she could try to get everyone to know her more on a deeper level because she doesn't feel like she's been afforded that opportunity.
02:43Is that something you'd be open to?
02:45What do you think of that?
02:46So, here's my take on it.
02:48I think that, first of all, I understand it's like you say something and it gets blown very out of proportion.
02:52I understand that and I just speak from my heart.
02:57What I'm talking about I feel like has actually less to do specifically with Katie and more to do with this problem
03:03than I think we've been having the last couple of years where it's been incredibly hard to find women
03:07that can come into this group and assimilate into this group that just simply want to exist
03:11and form authentic friendships and just hang out with us and become a part of the crew.
03:18I think that it's because of the whole housewife-dom, it's now a thing where women come into this circumstance
03:24and they think that they have to do certain things in order to survive.
03:29And that's really scary for us as a group of women who aren't doing that necessarily.
03:35You know what I mean?
03:36And so, I don't know, the problem is it's like I just don't know how you trust somebody
03:41that's already approached this in such a weird way, you know, and a threatening way.
03:48I don't know.
03:49That's why I love Jen Pedronzi.
03:50I was just going to say, I feel like Jen was the complete opposite of what you just described.
03:54Yeah, she really is.
03:56Like, Jen is just, she doesn't even know what's going on half the time and I love her for it, you know?
04:00Like, she's just really trying to, like, figure it out and honestly, she's trying to build new friendships
04:05and she's also trying to understand why some of her other relationships went off the rails.
04:11But either way, she's there just so authentically to share who she is.
04:14She shares her life, whether it's good, bad, ugly, or messy.
04:17There are some things that I feel like she shared that I'm surprised that she's even opened up and shared about
04:22and I think that that's really cool and a really effective way to just naturally become part of the group, you know?
04:27And I don't even always get along with Jen, but that's okay, you know?
04:31I just like Jen because she's just being herself.
04:34Yeah, yeah, no, she's a great person to the show.
04:36Yeah, and that's why it works.
04:38So, like, the thing is, I don't know how, I don't know if Katie gets that and if she would be capable of doing that.
04:50I wish that she did that the first time.
04:52I'm the one who brought her in the group, you know what I mean?
04:56And I adored her when I first met her and I just wanted her so badly to just be that person in this group.
05:05And I don't know what it is.
05:06Maybe she just got, you know, caught up in all of it.
05:11Yeah, but that's interesting that she says that, you know?
05:14I mean, I understand her.
05:15I don't know why, honestly, she would want to be in this group anymore.
05:18You and Emily got a little bit of backlash for commenting on Gretchen's appearance.
05:22You guys jokingly said she looked like an Instagram filter from 2003, like she dips herself in formaldehyde.
05:28She looks like a fake person.
05:30She dips herself in formaldehyde every night.
05:32She looks like an Instagram filter from 2003.
05:35She's like the Barbie filter.
05:37Yeah.
05:39From 2003.
05:41Now, is there anything you'd like to clear up about that conversation?
05:44I was so surprised how much we got, because literally, you have to understand, we were complimenting Gretchen.
05:52Yeah.
05:52Like, Emily's saying she's dipped in formaldehyde, meaning she's well-preserved.
05:57Me saying, and I, you have to understand, too, I've told, we call her Gretchen's, I've told Gretchen's this to her face.
06:02I'm like, you look like a walking Instagram filter.
06:05Okay, and maybe, yes, I understand the 2003 comment is snarky, but Gretchen herself laughs about the fact that she hasn't changed her style from when she left to now.
06:15And come on, man, we're on a reality show.
06:18I'm not, I'm not shy about having real conversations that I have with my girlfriends on camera, right?
06:24This is a real conversation between two girlfriends.
06:26Do we get a little snarky?
06:28Yes, but what do you, what do you want the whole show to be?
06:30Oh, Gretchen's looking lovely today.
06:32She looks spot on beautiful.
06:34The end.
06:36Like, would we be here right now?
06:38Right.
06:38No, I mean, that's just a real conversation between two friends joking it up.
06:43And I, why I like Gretchen is because Gretchen, you can have fun with Gretchen.
06:47So I could say all of this to Gretchen and she would laugh with us.
06:50Right.
06:50She's like a, she's a good time.
06:52I was surprised by that.
06:53I was like, are you going to be, but she really is.
06:56Yeah.
06:56Well, I guess you never know with, you know, what you've seen versus what you see on TV.
07:01She's totally, to me, Gretchen is so different than I thought she was going to be.
07:05And I was like, so surprised by, I like when people surprise me.
07:09And you know, Jen, she sort of called Heather out for kind of sticking up for Tamra.
07:14I call full s**t.
07:15Heather's always going to go to bat for Tamra.
07:17She's scared of her.
07:18She knows what she's capable of.
07:20You know, there's two sides to everything.
07:23Do you think that Heather's afraid of Tamra?
07:27Um, oh gosh.
07:29It's such a, I think Heather herself even admits that there's times that she is afraid of Tamra.
07:35I think, I mean, are we going to sit here and pretend like Tamra's not scary?
07:39Like she's a little scary, you know?
07:41But I think that Tamra's the type of person that's very reactionary.
07:45And Tamra's the type of person that will tell you how it is directly in the moment.
07:49And she gets very activated.
07:51We all know this about Tamra.
07:53Um, and sometimes she'll go a little below the belt.
07:57And I, and Heather is not great with that kind of sparring.
08:03Like she'll spar with you.
08:04I mean, I'm in trouble with fancy pants like every day, right?
08:06But she'll spar with somebody that she knows she can spar with, but you'll stay kind of within bounds.
08:12I think it's the fact that sometimes Tamra, she admitted it.
08:15I mean, she's in therapy to work on this, you know?
08:17She goes out of bounds.
08:19And I think that does scare Heather.
08:21Kind of switching gears a little bit because I want to get into some fun stuff that we saw.
08:25You know, this dinner, I cannot tell you how happy I was to see everyone getting along and laughing.
08:30Which facts surprised you the most?
08:32That Terry Dubrow wears lifts in his shoes or that Jen's vagina is broken?
08:35Or that Emily watches my 600-pound life during sex?
08:38That does not surprise me at all.
08:40Or that she incorporates snacks into that.
08:42Not at all.
08:43Jen's vagina broken.
08:45You know mine doesn't work.
08:47Your vagina's broken?
08:47Yes.
08:49The hole's closed up?
08:50I had a surgery.
08:51And so right now I would take any position.
08:53And we're like, we're like this right now.
08:55And I was like, what?
08:58What does that even mean?
08:59Like, how do you break your vagina?
09:01You know?
09:01That was so wild to me.
09:03And then I truly, like, meant it when I was like, Ryan is a saint.
09:07Like, to know that he's dealing with and putting up with everything that he's putting up with.
09:11He's, like, taken on her and all the children.
09:14Like, he's really stepped up for her.
09:16And they're not even having sex.
09:19I mean, wild.
09:21That's a good man.
09:22Everything gets off to a great start.
09:24You know, everyone's getting along, as I said before.
09:26Next week we see that it all kind of starts to fall apart.
09:29I think maybe it's implied that you start with Tam.
09:33Or not start with her.
09:34But you finish with her.
09:35Finish with her.
09:36She leaves.
09:37She says she quits.
09:38Yeah.
09:38You're being rude.
09:40And you're sloshed.
09:45How am I not being rude?
09:46I don't know.
09:47She's losing her mind.
09:48I'm not.
09:49I'm not.
09:51Tamra just texted me.
09:52She quit.
09:54What the fuck?
09:55What can you say about what we're going to see?
09:58I feel like the problem is there was a lot of people around the table that were lit.
10:04And I think that that definitely, like, did not help the circumstance.
10:09And it was just, to me, sitting around the table, this is all just so ridiculous.
10:13Like, how do we even get here?
10:15But there are things that happen and there are things that come out.
10:20And I just think, honestly, I think Tamra was carrying a pretty heavy load this year.
10:25And I know nobody likes to give her a break.
10:27Like, I get it.
10:28But, like, she was, you know.
10:30And I think she just hit a wall.
10:32And she just couldn't do it.
10:35And she really, I do think she needed a break, you know.
10:39And whatever.
10:41Maybe she was kind of running away from some things.
10:43But, like, sometimes that's what you have to do for your mental health.
10:48Protect your peace, you know.
10:49You got to reset.
10:50You got to reset.
10:51You can let them bash you next week, you know.
10:54Well, she always comes back anyway.
10:57Yeah, she came back.
10:58She came back.
10:59Yeah, she came back.
11:00I mean, she's good at dramatics, you know.
11:02So, it was interesting.
11:04You got to do this thing.
11:04You got to do this.
