The long-awaited Verzuz showdown between New Orleans’ legendary hip-hop labels Cash Money Records and No Limit Records went down on Saturday, October 25, 2025, live at ComplexCon in Las Vegas. The event marked the return of the iconic music series created by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland.
In this special edition, the two powerhouse labels faced off in a celebration of their massive influence on Southern hip-hop.
Representing Cash Money Records, co-founders Birdman (“Baby”) and Ronald “Slim” Williams took the stage. The label, which ruled the late ’90s and early 2000s before launching Young Money Entertainment, brought out some of its biggest stars for the occasion.
On the No Limit Records side, Master P led his legendary crew, honoring the label’s gritty, street-driven sound and bold visual identity that defined the early ’90s rap scene.
Fans packed the venue and tuned in worldwide via livestream to witness this historic face-off.
More than just a competition, the event served as a tribute to both labels’ deep catalogs and cultural legacy, showcasing the artists who helped shape the sound of New Orleans and Southern rap as a whole—complete with a little friendly rivalry to keep the energy alive.
