Taiwan COP5 Centers on Indigenous Sustainability Initiatives

Taiwan’s fifth annual climate exhibition, COP5, is underway in Kaohsiung. Opening the event are Indigenous representatives, who have been working with their local communities to restore a symbiotic relationship between humans and nature, as well as emphasizing the importance of including Indigenous knowledge and autonomy in disaster prevention and relief.
