The global collectible toy craze reached new heights in Australia this month as POP MART opened one of its largest stores at Sydney’s World Square Centre.
There were long queues of fans eager to buy the latest Labubu figures — the mischievous, wide-eyed characters created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung.
Collectors said the toys’ playful designs and fashion versatility are part of their appeal, while others came in search of rare pieces or gifts.
The launch comes amid a worldwide boom in demand for Labubu and other POP MART blind-box collectibles. The brand now operates more than 550 outlets across 30 countries.
