00:03You know what I thought watching your movie?
00:06I had the same feeling watching an Edward Hopper's painting, you know?
00:10Yeah, because it's a perfect description of real America and a part of, of course.
00:17What do you think about this comparison?
00:19Well, I, you know, I do like the fact that he, he tried to show everyday America.
00:30You know, not cosmopolitan or metropolitan America.
00:33He showed, you know, everyday middle America from what I remember of his paintings.
00:41So, I like that comparison because that's what we're doing, especially with Red Rocket.
00:46I mean, Red Rocket, we are going, you know, we are going center of the country.
00:50This is Texas small town living.
00:53And, and I try to do it in a way that has, you know, a very realistic, realistic approach, but also a classic approach.
01:03As if the film, I know the film takes place in 2016, but I, I, I wanted the film to feel 60s and 70s.
01:13And even 90s, a kind of 90s.
01:15Yeah.
01:16Well, especially with NSYNC, the use of the NSYNC song.
01:20Um, the characters were probably in their late teens, early twenties in the nineties.
01:26And so there is a little bit of nineties influence.
01:30He's a product from nineties.
01:31Yeah.
01:32He's definitely a product from nineties.
01:33Did you take anything away from the set as a souvenir?
01:36I owe every film I make, I'll take props and keep these props forever.
01:43In this case, the bike, the bike is now at my place in Los Angeles.
01:48Yeah.
01:49Yeah.
01:50Yeah.
01:51Yeah.
01:52Yeah.
01:53Yeah.
