00:00The secret to the easiest and juiciest turkey
00:02is a bottle of bubbly.
00:03Starts by just making a simple spice blend
00:05starting with lots of parsley.
00:07Recipe calls for dried rosemary and thyme.
00:09I do half the amount and lots of sage
00:11and then something not so usual in turkey,
00:13a little lemon pepper, add in some salt and that's it.
00:16Give that a mix.
00:17You wanna be sure your turkey is as dry as possible
00:18and I like to tuck the wings underneath,
00:20rub it all over, inside and out.
00:22So I'm going in with carrots, celery, onions and oranges.
00:25You wanna line your pan with enough foil
00:28to be able to wrap it around the turkey without it touching.
00:31Now the turkey can baste itself.
00:33Don't bother with the expensive stuff for this, okay?
00:36The whole bottle around and inside.
00:38It's like New Year's Eve.
00:39And then a can of chicken broth.
00:40Then you're gonna fold the foil up
00:42without touching the turkey.
00:43See, it's not touching.
00:44Then it's ready for the oven,
00:45350 degrees for about two and a half hours
00:48and then we're gonna uncover it for another 45 minutes
00:51to an hour or until it's all brown.
00:52Oh my gosh, that looks so pretty.
00:55You wanna let it rest for at least 20, 30 minutes.
00:58We're left with all this deliciousness right here.
01:00I'm going to strain it well.
01:02I'm gonna whisk some cornstarch into some cold water
01:06to add it into the liquid.
01:07Then you just wanna bring this to a simmer on the stove.
01:09This is gonna give us that champagne gravy.
01:11All that's left is carving your turkey
01:12and serving it up with that delicious gravy.
01:16It's just perfect.
01:16If you're looking for not only an easy turkey,
01:18but a juicy turkey, this champagne turkey
01:20is the recipe for you.
