00:00Do you have to be a person who comes from the outside of Sabah
00:05to think that the result of this earth is a piggy bank?
00:10And the result of this is for the importance of the people and the Sabah?
00:16The Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Information Chief Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan
00:20has accused businessman Albert Day of exploiting Sabah's natural resources
00:25to advance his own interests.
00:26Beliau telah mencoba sesuatu untuk menggaguh-gugat kerajaan
00:35atas tujuan untuk membalas dendam.
00:39Earlier this month, Malaysia Kini reported on screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation
00:44allegedly between Teh and Parti Solidarity Tanah Air Crew President Jeffrey Kitingan
00:49who was said to have received RM1.78 million from the businessman.
00:53The conversation showed Teh pleading with Kitingan, who was then the Deputy Chief Minister
00:59to urge Chief Minister Haji Ji Noor not to interfere with his company's silica sand mining operations
01:04as the project was described as their piggy bank.
01:08In the same messages, Teh complained that he could no longer afford to make political contributions
01:13after the state government cancelled several projects said to be linked to him.
01:18In a video circulated on October 18th, Teh claimed to have given a small amount of RM550,000
01:24to Parti Bersatu Sabah Acting President Dr. Jokim Gunsalem,
01:28who later confirmed to Malaysia Kini that the money was a political contribution.
01:33In another video, Teh also told PBS Deputy President Jahit Jahim
01:37that he had previously promised to make a contribution to the former Tamparuli Assemblyman.
01:42Nizam also pointed out that Teh was not the whistleblower he had claimed to be,
02:05but rather the mastermind behind the mining scandal.
02:43On June 30, Teh was charged in a special corruption court in Kota Kinabalu
02:47with two counts of giving bribes totaling RM350,000 to two former state assemblymen,
02:53Tanjung Batus Andi Muhammad Suriyadi Bandi and Sindumin's Dr. Yusof Yaakob
02:58to influence the approval of mineral exploration licenses in Sabah.
03:03He pleaded not guilty.
03:04Pan Yuzhou, FMT.
