00:56so it makes our transactions less transparente, and nobody wants that.
01:01We want to have transparent banking relations so that money can flow in both directions.
01:06A joint agreement, a three-way agreement between the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center
01:13and the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and then the Ministry of Agriculture for the Republic of Cuba.
01:20It was sort of a first step in formalizing a relationship.
01:26So that's the purpose of our visit, is to continue this collaboration that was outlined in that memorandum from late last year.
01:36Over the last four years since Cuba expanded their private sector to allow the private sector to import more goods,
01:45we've seen the variety of goods increase.
01:48So regardless of their administration, regardless of change, we all got to eat.
01:53I think right now people are frozen.
01:55I think a lot of people are, they don't know what to do.
01:58We need a more clear direction from the administration, specifically around agriculture.
02:04But the message that we're receiving is while there are increased restrictions to certain parts of the Cuban government,
02:12they're more targeted.
02:13The message to us is that our agricultural trade can continue and needs to continue.
02:34federal.
