Hai Dubai, in partnership with Engino, is using robotics and virtual reality to make STEM education interactive and inclusive, helping students across the UAE build problem-solving and coding skills for future technologies.
00:00Hi, Dubai, the regional partner for NGNO uses robotics and virtual reality to make STEM education more accessible and engaging across the Emirates.
00:09In Dubai, the company transformed classroom learning through NGNO's robotics and immersive technologies,
00:15helping children as young as three understand science and engineering through hands-on experiences.
00:22Here's Amira Ayman for the full report.
00:24Education is changing faster than ever, driven by artificial intelligence, immersive tools and data that can personalize the way each student learns.
00:38At the heart of the transformation is NGNO, an innovation hub that's reimagining how technology can make learning smarter, more inclusive and future ready.
00:48I'm speaking with Ashin Shalji, regional client partner from High Dubai, to understand how the company is reshaping the learning experience and what that means for the next generation of talent.
01:01Thank you so much for joining us.
01:03NGNO position itself as a catalyst for innovation and in education.
01:08What specific gap in the current learning ecosystem are you trying to fill and how does the technology enable that change?
01:15First of all, thank you for having us.
01:17So, basically, I am representing the company named High Dubai.
01:22We are operating in Middle East and we are the regional partner for NGNO from Cyprus.
01:26So, NGNO is one of the very famous company, very renowned company in the field of robotics and STEM learning.
01:33So, we have complete ecosystem that, you know, that teaches the students the concepts of robotics from the scratch to the advanced level.
01:50So, the kid will start to learn the engineering concept and the STEM concept from the age of three and we can scale it up to the age of 16 and above.
01:59So, AI is transforming how people learn, but also how educators teach as well.
02:05How does NGNO use artificial intelligence to personalize education and how do you balance data-driven learning with the human side of teaching?
02:14It's a great question because in the current AI generation, as you can see that all the schools, educational entities, all of them are, you know, approaching AI as like a tool that should teach to the students.
02:26What we are doing with NGNO robots is actually, we are teaching not directly to the AI, we are teaching the skills that you should need to understand and to learn AI in the future.
02:38So, before learning the code, you can't understand what is an artificial intelligence program means.
02:44So, what we are teaching to the students is the basic critical thinking, aptitude skill, and also how to program a small microchip, how to code a robot, all these things.
02:57That's what we are teaching the students.
02:59We are teaching them the basic concept.
03:01From there, the student can take it up to higher level programming.
03:04From there, they can learn all the high level AI coding and everything.
03:09And many ATT&CK solutions succeed with innovation but struggle with accessibility.
03:13How is NGNO ensuring that new learning technologies remain inclusive, typically, especially for communities or schools with limited digital infrastructure?
03:22So, basically, what we are doing in UAE, especially, you know, we will give the school the total supply of the acumen, the kids, the packages, everything that they need to set up a robotic lab.
03:34And, basically, if the school, particular school, if they can't access it, for example, if the price component is high for them, we even have, as a partner for NGNO,
03:44Hi, Dubai is having a different package for them.
03:48Like, we will provide them in a service model.
03:49Like, we will bear the coast and we will, you know, we will implement it on the site in a subscription model.
03:56That also we can do.
03:57That's how it will reach even to the remote part of the United Arab Emirates or other part of the world.
04:03And the children in all age group and all economic background can have an access to this thing.
04:11And, finally, looking ahead, how do you see the classroom evolving over the next few decades?
04:15Okay, will we still see, have traditional schools or are we are moving forward towards full hybrid, lifelong learning model powered by platforms like NGNO?
04:26I think both of them or, you know, these are like, I can't say that this particular model is going to evolve and Rusty is going into the backstage.
04:37I don't think so.
04:38All the models will evolve.
04:39So, through our NGNO kit, what you can do is that either if you are a part of school who implemented NGNO as their STEM and robotic training center, they can learn from the school.
04:49At the same time, if you are doing a home, for example, a student is doing homeschooling, they can buy our individual products from the online and they can learn it.
04:58Or the parents can teach the student because all of our kids is coming with full instructions and catalogs and everything.
05:05And we even give the software access, like for CAD software, for programming software, they will get access from the, you know, from the catalog itself.
05:14So, they can learn it by themselves or if they are studying in a school where the NGNO lab is there, they can learn from the school also.
05:22We are open to any solution.
05:23And as a part of Hi Dubai, we are giving augmented and virtual reality immersive training also for school students.
05:31We are already successfully implemented a couple of schools in UAE itself.
05:34And the response is very, very good because as we can see from the student and from the teacher side itself, for a conventional education system, they need maybe five days or five sessions or six sessions to teach a complicated concept, for example, about human heart.
05:51But if you are delivering the content through an immersive reality, for example, through a VR headset, they need only five minutes to understand the concept.
05:58We tested it, we proved it, and that's how the response we are getting from the market also.
06:03Thank you so much, Ashin, for your insight.
06:05X-Technology continues to redefine industries, and education remains foundation for all progress.
06:12What companies like Hi Dubai show us is that innovation in classrooms isn't just about devices or apps.
06:17It's about empowering learners, educators, and entire communities to adapt to a world that never stops evolving.
