00:00And Mangobot says its AI power robots are created to assist, not replace people,
00:06bringing empathy, learning and trust to every human-machine interaction.
00:10In Dubai, founder and CEO Karim Abu Alwarib believes robots should enhance everyday life
00:16by learning, adapting and connecting naturally with humans.
00:20To see how Mangobot is redefining the role of robotics in daily life,
00:24here's Amirul Saiman with the report.
00:26Artificial intelligence is moving beyond code and screens.
00:31It's taking human forms.
00:33Here at Jitex Global 2025 in Dubai, robotics company Mangobot is presenting humanoids machined
00:40powered by generative AI designed to see, speak and respond like us.
00:47I will speak to Karim, founder and CEO at Mangobot,
00:50to understand how they are building robots that not only work intelligently,
00:56but also communicate and connect like humans.
01:00Karim, thank you so much for joining us.
01:03Robots have been around for decades, but few have managed to feel human.
01:07What is the core idea behind Mangobot?
01:10Are you trying to build machines that can replace human labor or ones that amplify human capability?
01:18First of all, thank you for having me.
01:20And I would like to say that I believe that humans will still remain the drivers
01:25and robots will just be there to assist them.
01:28So we specialize in interactive, immersive and self-learning autonomous robotics.
01:36We have a line between of humanoids, as of this one, along with the smaller version.
01:41We have some dog robots and data collection robots as well.
01:46And Mangobot combines robotics with generative AI.
01:49How does that change the way robots interact with people?
01:53What can your system now understand or express that wasn't possible before?
01:58So as of now, our system is tailor-made to you and you in specific.
02:03So I can give you an example.
02:06If you are having a Mangobot in your house and you drink a double espresso
02:11and I have a cappuccino and a Mangobot at my house,
02:14if we never met and you came over to my house to have a coffee,
02:17we just need to tell it to have two coffees and it will bring yours to your liking
02:20and me to my liking with facial recognition.
02:24And human-machine relationships depends on trust.
02:26How do you design robots that people actually want to engage with,
02:31and especially in sensitive spaces like perhaps classroom, hospitals, or even customer service?
02:36So I believe the first step to this is introducing it in a friendly manner.
02:39As you can see over here at Jitex, we have the robots doing dances,
02:43interacting with people, and overall getting people used to it and getting the feel.
02:48As you can see, it's very friendly with everyone.
02:50So far, no incidents, thank God, and hopefully it remains that way.
02:54Okay, and now finally, Rikarim, as robots become more intelligent
02:57and more present in daily life, what do you think the right balance looks like
03:01between automation and also human touch?
03:04So I believe that humans are capable of doing much bigger things
03:08than just sitting down in a factory, for example, and doing the same task over and over again.
03:13I think that humans are there to expand and make the world grow and innovate,
03:18while robots can replace that.
03:19And it also builds a lot of jobs and creates opportunities,
03:23building a workforce in a manner that humans are more likely to accomplish
03:27rather than just doing the same tasks over and over again.
03:29Thank you very much, Karim.
03:31Now, what we're seeing with MangaBot is more than a technical milestone.
03:35It's a shift of how we define interaction itself.
03:39As robots gain intelligence and empathy,
03:41the real question becomes how humanity choose to use that power
03:46to replace or to enhance us.
03:49From JITEX Global 2025 in Dubai,
03:51I'm Amiru Aiman and cameraman Mark Rozi for Astro Awani.
