Evacuation in Guangfu as New Barrier Lake Threatens To Overflow

Authorities have ordered to evacuate low-lying areas in Hualien’s Guangfu Township after spotting a new barrier lake that might overflow in less than 24 hours. The new lake is within a kilometer away from the main dam that burst its banks last month, causing deadly flash floods in the town below.
