00:00As we have announced earlier, we have found common ground on the Repower EU Proposal.
00:09I have called it the Freedom Package because it will effectively end the possibility for
00:15Russia to sell gas to EU energy consumers, meaning that we will stop sending our money
00:24to Russia.
00:27The package also includes a need to diversify the energy needs of countries that still rely
00:36on Russian energy, oil and gas.
00:41And that makes a very clear link to the next agenda point we discussed because, I mean,
00:49I think everybody understands that all societies, all citizens, all industries need access to
00:56energy.
00:57Access to energy is the fundamental thing that allow our society to work, our democracy,
01:06that creates the needed economy for making sure that European has safe lives.
01:14So when you say goodbye to something, and now we effectively say goodbye to Russian gas,
01:18gas, we also have to embrace something new.
01:22And it has to be now European energy that is grown in Europe.
01:27It has to be decarbonized.
01:28It has to be decarbonized.
01:29And that effectively means that it must be electricity coming from renewables and nuclear.
01:39So electrification is key to making sure that we on the longer term can secure the future
01:45for all Europeans.
01:46And we also got a very clear reminder on why we have to say goodbye to Russian gas because
01:56we have invited Moldova and Ukraine to share their views on the energy development in their
02:03countries.
02:04We are, none of us are surprised because we knew that there was support for this effort.
02:15Nonetheless, one should not underestimate just how big of a decision this is.
02:23It is also a difficult decision, and for some countries we know that there are challenges
02:28with regards to security of supply and, of course, prices.
02:31But we are working very, very hard with member states to make sure that we help them in a way
02:38that means that there will not be any security of supply problems and that prices will not go up.
02:45So we are committed from the Commission side on that.
02:48How are you answering concerns from member states who are saying there must be no replacement
02:55of one dependency by another dependency?
02:59And when are you expecting to start Trilux?
03:01My understanding is that it could start on the 6th of November.
03:05So that's a very strict deadline before the end of the year.
03:08I sense from my good colleagues there that there is also awareness on their side to the importance
03:16that we will conclude the file before the end of this year.
03:22We want it to be out working in real life.
03:25We all are eager to see a ban on Russian gas.
03:28So we will start that as soon as possible.
03:31But I don't have the fixed date here with me today.
03:34But we will do it as soon as possible with the clear ambition to conclude this year.
03:38Of course, being dependent is not a desirable situation to be in.
03:47And Europe are too dependent on importing of fossil fuels.
03:53There is no easy solution to that.
03:56There is no easy solution to that.
04:06To grab some sort of money.
04:07There is no reason for you to limit your knowledge.
04:09I was not saying that I will do it as soon as possible.
04:14Let's ignore it.
04:15There is no reason for lack of value.
04:16If the process is not to be in.
04:17Just as long as possible, I'm not saying that you are not saying it.
04:21I will pose it as often as possible.
04:23Let's talk about what you are asking,
04:25How do you need to?
04:26To go to the anchor's office,
04:27What you are asking for,
04:28is the budget,
04:29what do you need to do this?
04:31OK,
04:32what do you need to do this?
